Hi! This may be a bit off topic (though I say still Hermes shopping related!) but may I know what is the issue with using Amex? (I've been following this thread and have read (almost) all the posts for the past 2 years and I don't recall reading anything about using your Amex card vs Visa or MasterCard)

Vat refunds for purchases with Amex are exchanged from euro to GBP and then to the customer’s own currency. So depending on the rates, your VAT refund can be a lot lower than expected as it went through that extra currency exchange step compared to visa or master.

I went back a few dozen pages and read quite a bit but still have some questions.
I saw many people referencing Ks, Bs, Cs, and Ls, but no mentions of the picotin. I guess they're not that popular?
Are these more readily available than other bags? Will I need an appointment to try on/purchase a picotin?
Can anyone link me to the site to make an app? And which stores would I have the better chance with inventory as I am looking for a pretty specific color and hardware. I am not looking to spend the price of the picotin in other products just to be offered a picotin though.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

What specs were u looking for? If they have something out on the rack then you can just ask to see it, if not, u will need an appt. Yes, the more sought after bags are b/k/c/l and roulis. Im biased and would say try fsh first but think it depends on ur luck though the appt system. This is the website

To my knowledge, FSH has the largest inventory ( but requires an appt).. though not to say that they will definitely have the specs u want... the other stores do not require an appt so they are worth trying.. unless it has to be FSH

I was hoping to see a pico in either 18 or 22, with phw, in a cool gray color such as etain.

Fsh has the biggest inventory. You don’t need an appt in George v and sevres so will suggest you try getting a picotin from these 2 stores since it’s a walk in basis and much more straight forward.
I was in Paris last week and saw a SA
showing 4 girls a cute 18 red picotin in George v.
If you want the more coveted bags and not wanting to spend on accessories, then pls get an appt at fsh.

I was able to score Picotin 18 Black PHW at George V a year ago, but I wouldn't say it was easy as the SA I met wanted me to spend on other things as well. I bought a belt kit, pocket square, necktie, which were what I wanted initially so I didn't mind. He said everyone in Paris had been searching for this spec for summer (I went there in April). He showed me the bag in a little corner so that people didn't see it and said I was very lucky to have it.. though it might be because black H bags are more highly sought after in general?

The SAs have mentioned that Picos are hard to come by lately. And in some countries eg. China, prior spending history may be required to be offered one. So perhaps production of this particular style may have declined making the item more rare and less available?

Oh, I'm going like in two weeks, so pretty much April as well :/
I'm not after black, so I guess that is a plus for me, but I know gray is a pretty neutral color as well. It is sad to think that I could be offered my perfect pico and still not be able to buy it because I don't want to spend on other items I won't use.

I was offered a beautiful electric blue picotin together with my B. But because it was not the size i wanted, i didn’t get the picotin in the end. They do exist ：）

I agree. I have only seen a Picotin 22 in black at Sevres in my two trips to Paris. I declined it as I prefer brighter colors for Pico. I didn’t have any luck in Singapore and Japan either.
