Thank you to everyone who shared my excitement about my new Kelly. I'm back home and want to share more details about my experience. Leading up to my trip I emailed my SA requesting an appointment. We met last March when I got my K28 Bleu Zanzibar and she gave me her card and told me to send her an email to make an appointment next time I’m in Paris. I sent the e-mail three weeks prior to my trip and I didn't hear back from her and I settled with trying my luck with the online appointment system. I decided to try contacting her one more time and followed up with a second e-mail when I was on the plane ready to take off that I would be in Paris the next day. When I landed on Wed 3/21 around 11am I signed up for an appointment request online which was super easy. I was travelling with my mom and after dropping off our bags at the hotel we went to lunch. While at lunch I checked my e-mail and my SA responded! She asked if I can be at the store by 3pm. It was 2:10pm when I saw her e-mail and luckily we weren't that far from FSH. We quickly ate and headed over. Walking into FSH, I noticed right away it was much quieter than last year. We walked around a bit and then went to the leather dept front desk and gave the name of my SA that I had an appointment with. Everyone we interacted with was pleasant and nice enough. My SA came out to greet us and took us upstairs to the women's clothing section. We spoke about the new system briefly and she is much happier with the online appointment system. I wasn't sure if she would only take my requests or would she help my mother as well. Luckily she took both! I asked for a K32 in neutral color with palladium hardware only. I requested gold, etoupe, gris asphalt etc. My mother requested a Birkin 30 neutral didn't care about the hardware. We waited for about 20 minutes. During that time we relaxed, browsed, and people watched. There were some chic women shopping around the women's clothing dept. My SA reappeared with two large boxes. First she helped my mom and showed her a B30 Barenia with gold hardware. She talked about the Barenia leather and it was STUNNING! My mom was unsure because as beautiful as it was the leather wasn't for her. My mother prefers pebbled leather than smooth and she couldn't commit. The SA offered to go back and check something else for her. She came back with a Barenia Faubourg Gold B30 with palladium hardware and my mom was sold! She loved the leather so much more. Next was my turn and she got me the second color on my list and I almost passed out from glee and jet lag. K32 Etoupe Togo with palladium hardware. I think this size suits me so much better than my K28 so I’m happy I was lucky to get this. Also I should clarify this was all happening on the sales floor in the women's department and not in a private room. It was quiet but there were still people walking around. I did see one couple being offered bags the same time as my mom and I. I was so jet lagged and loopy I forgot to ask for anything else and bought the bag and left soon after. I did go to H Sevres and George V locations the following days of my trip. I highly recommend the Sevres store! I've never been and it was so nice and easy to shop around. Later that Wednesday evening I received a notification that I didn’t get an appointment through the online system. I never tried again either. I wonder if I didn’t have the appointment with my SA and requested one as a walk in, would I have been seen because it was so quiet. So here is some more eye candy of the bags my mom and I got at FSH. You’ve already seen my Kelly but here is my mom’s B30 Barenia Faubourg!!

I went today to FSH, purchased perfumes and asked the SA if she can get me an appointment as a walk in, since I failed to get one for today. She was so lovely to take me to leather department and talk to them to squeeze me in. Unfortunately, there weren’t any spots left for today.
Told me to try again

I noticed a lady offered two beautiful C24 in ostrich Rouge VIF, and Epsom rose azalea or rose Jaipur, wasn’t really sure , but both were amazing and she was trying them and choosing.
 
After my fail at FSH, I went to George V store, got a sandal, perfume, and a scarf, then told SA if she can assist me in leather department. She told me she can’t but referred me to her colleague, he was super nice.. but told me there weren’t any 25, 30 Bs in stock. Only 35. I politely turn it down, he told me are you interested in K? Told him only if it’s 25, or 28. He said let me check and get back to you..

I waited for him, then my original SA, the one who sold me sandals and scarf, came and told me that the leather SA is apologizing that he couldn’t find me what I want and that I should try again Tuesday.
The thing is, I felt he had something to show me, as I told him my colors and leather preferences. And he was listening and excited while he was checking his phone, and told me he will check and come back. But I think when he asked his manager, he refused to offer me a bag. Maybe because I’m originally FSH customer ( I read here that George V manager refused to sell a bag to a lady coz she was FSH customer not George V, and told her to purchase more from George V in order to sell her the bag she wanted), as this is my second purchase only in George v, my major items are from FSH, as they have more stock in everything not only bags. I only purchase little things from George V
This is my interpretation only, coz the SA was excited and wanted to show me stuff, but when he had to say no, He sent the other SA to do it.
I’m not sure if I should increase my store purchase in George V in order to be offered a bag. I don’t want to buy stuff just to be George V customer. I only buy the things I love and need, and TBH, FSH shoes and scarf department are way much bigger with wider range.

Yeah it's very sad( Obviously that they can see their stock in a phone now, I think he saw something in stock and went to the manager(
 
I can empathise with how you felt about the mgr at George V as I experienced the same at Harrods, London. The SA who attended to me wanted to sell me a PICO ( not even a B or K) after verifying my purchase history but after checking with his mgr, he changed his tune and told me they had not received any bag that day. I was flabbergasted and I suspected my purchase history was not big enough! Miffed, I popped over at Bond St n scored a L26 in ghw without any purchase history! That’s another interesting story to share if there’s a thread for that.

I just want to share my experience In Paris last week. I’ve been a customer at FSH for years but I was only allocated an appointment after three successive tries. It does seem like random selection. Third time lucky I guess!

Lots of people tried to get an appointment at the shop without being allotted one online, with some being successful which meant my appointment time kept getting pushed back. Super annoyed as I watched this all happen. When it was my turn, I gave the SA my wish list in croc or ostrich and because of my requests for exotic leathers we tried to find a spot to sit down but everywhere it was filled. We eventually found a room but she came back and said nothing was available in croc but offered me a BK or C in leather which I didn’t really want this time as croc is my holy grail. I wonder if it’s because I’ve not spent enough yet to get offered a croc!? Any tips on how to get a croc bag appreciated!
