Paris trip for Hermes

No luck for me this trip!

Day 1 (Saturday): I stopped by George V slightly before close and did not even think it worthwhile to inquire about a bag. It seemed very busy right before the start of fashion week. I purchased a shawl and tiny tray at FSH but had no luck for a Monday appointment.

Day 3 (Monday): I went to Sevres with my sister in the late morning and waited over 2 hours even though I was only 5th in line to see a SA in the bag department. No luck there. The SA said there were no deliveries. I did manage to secure an appointment for the following day though!

Day 4 (Tuesday): I had an appointment at FSH for the evening and had a bad feeling all day as my appointment time was at the very end of the day. The SA was extremely kind and patient and wrote down all of the details of what I was looking for. She came back empty handed after almost 15 minutes! And I found out I did not receive an appointment for the next day, my last day in Paris.

Day 5 (Wednesday): I decided to try Sevres one more time. There were no SAs in the big department so the wait was long with only 2 people ahead of me. Decided to abandon the cause (did tell the SA that we were leaving) and went to eat instead.

All in all, I would never go back during Fashion Week because of the added crowds. It was a fun trip filled with a lot of other shopping but I am a bit disappointed that I wasn’t able to have some bag fun at H!

I'll be going to Paris for the first time in my life in May. Anyone know what's the likelihood of scoring a Garden Party 36 at the George V store? What's the price difference of it in France vs. the price here in the U.S.?

I saw quite a lot of gp on display in the main store when I was there. I’d say give it a go even without an appointment if you happen to be in that area. I was asking for appointment for the day and the staff actually asked what bag I am looking for. It sounded like she’d be able to fit me in some time slot if I wasn’t looking for a coveted bag.

I am going to Paris this spring and I have an extensive relationship with H in the states but no history in Europe. I would like to buy a Birkin or a Kelly, and would settle for a Constance if the prior were not available. Does anyone know if it is helpful to purchase a Garden party in the store first? The value difference to the states is good enough that I was tempted to order one to the hotel, but would purchase it in store if it helped secure a B, K or C. Thanks in advance for you advice.

it’s seems that it never hurts to have some purchase history at FSH or whatever boutique you want to try and get a bag. so i would save that purchase for when you are in store IMO. along with anything else you wanna buy. constance seems harder to get than B or K btw. lol.

I had a SA that I've worked with for the last 3 years, had an appointment with him every time I was in Paris and was able to get my bags/purchases every year. He is no longer there. When I emailed him last Dec, the store director came back and offered me an appointment - which was great. Except now that I'm going back again at end March, I can't seem to get anyone to respond...

Has anyone had a similar experience and how you tackle this? thanks!

Were you assigned another SA at your December appointment? Or you were greeted by the store director? Either way, any relationship established or any name card offered?
My own experience is that I have shopped at FSH for 3 years as well but I have never had my own SA so I went through the usual way (queuing and now trying to secure an appointment online) which actually worked for me. IMO, it's definitely easier to have an SA to work with but even if you don't, you would still be "granted" a bag as long as you are proven to be a true H customer (and I believe you certainly are)

I do find it rather difficult to meet a SA who can deal with both leather and non-leather purchases.... so I am not too worried about not having an SA now... if it makes you feel better ^^

Before my previous SA left, I was first introduced to the (then) new store director, the director of customer services and then to my current SA so that is my only personal experience.

I didn't blame SA, because I knew it's very low chance, but anyway I've got offered " Mini Kelly " Black PHW. OMG!!! It was so cute, but I didn't get it. For me, I would like to get more useful other than pretty or hard to get. So don't give up, threads. There still have hope!!!
By the way, I do have an appointment tomorrow, but it's 10:30am. I already have some schedule for that time, wish when I back at 6:00pm, I still can see the SA at FSH.

Good luck and thanks for sharing your story. It is hard to resist any 'Kelly' but knowing that there is a quota, you should save it for the best !

I have update. Secured my appointment. Phew.

So in Dec, when I emailed my old SA, the store director replied and set me up with a new SA but it wasn't a formal "this is the new person who will help you going forward". I have both the client director and the new SA's contact - emailed them both. I finally got a yay. Will see how it goes. Before I met my old SA, I never had any luck with queuing even though I had a steady record in NY... Fingers crossed that this is my new SA going forward! thanks for getting back to me.I'm very envious that you can just walk in and get service!

Oh how nice!!!! I was after a mini K but couldn’t get one last Friday... turned down a B25 and mini verrou and the new patchwork K and got offered a SO (still in shock)
I may try again in April or May although I m still on ban island....

Hi ladies, I’d like to share my past experiences and thanks in advance for letting me!

In Dec 2016, DH decided to bring me n 3 kids in tow to Paris to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. It was still the q system. We met a lovely SA but was not offered any B or K because it was a Sunday n there’s no delivery. She encouraged us to return on Mon as there’d be deliveries. Alas, we were so unfortunate as my husband was pickpocketed the following day! We spent the next few days in Paris without venturing into Hermes waiting for his replacement credit cards!

His cards finally arrived but we were already in London! Managed to score an Herbag in Harrods n left sadly that year.

Last year, I decided to try my luck at the French Riviera and scored a gold Halzan in Cannes. SA at Nice Airport said they received Constance quite regularly but I had no luck when I was there. Was offered a few rodeos though.

Still traumatised by the pickpockets, we avoided Paris. Although I scored an L26, Pico 26 in London last year, I’m still pining for a B or K or C.

Managed to convince family to detour to Eurodisney on our Germany trip in Jun this yr so I can try my luck at FSH again. Pls wish me luck n keep me n my family safe!!

I was at Serves yesterday as well! I was offered a bolide 1923 in vert vertigo in novillo leather but declined. Was searching for a bolide 35, Kelly 32 or birkin 30. I also have an appointment at FSH at 10:30 today. Hoping for better luck. Shelves at Serve were very bare(compared to stores in the US), but was very impressed by how large the store was. Quite beautiful.

I have a new purchase history in FSH last year. I got a Birkin and Sa give me a name card.
May I ask if I go FSH this autumn, Can I email to Sa for making appointment directly or register the appointment ?
