I was in Paris and my husband and I were both offered an appointment but were rejected. We also tried Sevres and George V with no luck. I think I've been to FSH at least 6-7 times in the last two years and still no luck. It was really disappointing and also time consuming.

Sorry to hear dear, I haven't tried on-line appointment system yet. I hope you score your dear bag soon!!

It must be very upsetting. I hope it happens for you the next trip!

I know the feeling, been thru to that a lot of times and I feel guilty taking my husband for all that troubles since he’s not into luxury he thinks that I’m crazy [emoji51].. but he let me go by myself at times ..

Yes I do feel guilty. Although my husband is a good sport about it. I just don't understand what it takes to get a bag in Paris, much less in any country in Europe!

*hugs* [emoji847] I would like to say that your perseverance is admirable! I think there’s a lot of elements involved... it feels like as if all of the H stars need to be aligned for the magic offer. From the SA that you get assigned to, to the ice breaking conversation, to the specifications of your requested bag, to stock availability, to your purchase history, to the willingness of the SA/SM to offer the bag...

I think having a purchase history in France would help a lot but of course there are also many success stories of scoring a bag without a purchase. I personally managed to get a rather special bag without an appointment and with zero purchase history (the H stars truly aligned for me and my kind H fairy made it happen that day [emoji1]).

Don’t give up hope and stay positive. it IS possible! *sprinkles H lucky dust*

This is my first post, this forum has been so educational for me! I'd like to thank everyone for sharing, and I'd also like to share my story from last year at FSH.

It was the time when one had to queue to get an appointment, and while I didn't experience any of the scuffles that have been described, I saw the line sitters with their stools and blankets at the front of the line. I was also offered to buy a place further in front as well, of course, which I declined.

I spent an hour or so in line before the shop opened, and I didn't manage to get an appointment. I was told to try Sevres or Georges V, which didn't work out for me either.

I went back again the next day. This time 2 hours before the doors opened. There were 20 people in front of me.
The doors opened, and everyone streamed in like sheep...
Again, I didn't get an appointment.
But. I was politely advised to return about 1 pm, in case, any slot freed up.
So I did and was given an appointment for 4pm.
I wasn't feeling too optimistic, so off I went to Chanel across the road, and bought myself a lovely classic flap in caviar leather to sate that bag shopping thirst :)

Anyway I returned again and was greeted by an SA in the leather dept upstairs. We made some small talk, and then she asked for my preferences, and I really wanted a K28 in neutral colours, or as second choice B30 also in neutrals. I prefer Ks as there's a strap, I find Birkins rather cumbersome when you need to fish out your phone.
So off she went to check stock, and was told there was nothing.

While I was expecting that reply, it still made my heart sink. I guess you guys know what I mean!

She told me to return the next day, she said she'd squeeze me in btwn her appointments and that she will try to find something for me.

Ever hopeful, I returned the next day at lunch time. She greeted me and again reconfirmed my preferences.
I waited for the painful 20 hours, ok I exaggerate, it was probably 20 min (but it felt like hours you know what I mean), while seeing others being presented with large orange boxes.
Again I steeled myself not to be too disappointed.

She returned...
with a large orange box.

I was thrilled. As she unboxed it, she was smiling, she said that while she couldn't find a bag in neutral colours, she thought I might like this one as it suited me.

It was a B30 Epsom in rouge casaque! It was beautiful. I love red, and the gold hardware accents really stand out against the bright shade of red.

After so many disappointments on a previous trip to Paris, I was elated!

So anyway, here's a photo of the beauty, and wish me luck on my upcoming trip to Paris...with a new appointment system again!

Congrats! What a gorgeous B! Thanks for posting and sharing your story! The things we go through for H, but I'm happy you triumphed in the end. Good luck in Paris and I look forward to your next posts.

i had to laugh so hard every time you mentioned “you know what i mean”, because I LITERALLY KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

omg after reading this thread on the regular you think you can mentally prepare yourself for a rejection but when it happens it’s so depressing. and the wait between giving the SA your choices and waiting for them to return is so nerve wracking. again i know it’s just a purse but honestly it’s such an emotional roller coaster. lol. only those who have done the whole FSH experience can fully understand.

congrats on your beautiful birkin, the most stunning shade of red!!!

Congrats on this beautiful B!! RC was my first FSH score too (k32)... i admire the perseverance of the folks here on their H quests, especially the ones who have to travel overseas for it.. i mean, how many people will actually get us if we tell them we gotta go to Paris to try for a bag... :graucho: ... but tpfers get it and so happy for that.. Good luck on ur next fsh visit... !! I hope ur not like me who kinda forgets most other wishlist things once i zone in on the bag... :panic:
