Hi all! I'll be making a trip to Paris this summer and would like to getting my first Hermes bag! I have a questions about purchasing in Paris though...

1. My mom and I would like to each get a bag. She's thinking of getting a Garden Party and I would like a Evelyne. I heard it was one bag per household for 6 months...? Does the "limit" rule also apply to this? If so, would it better to purchase in department store (Printemps or Galeries Lafayette)?

2. What is the best boutique to purchase in? Flagship store?

There is no quota for the bags that you want. You have to wait in line at fsh to ask for any bags. You might try Sèvres or George v first. If they don't have what you want then try FSH.

To add to this excellent info, department stores in Paris carry only H fragrances and watches. For leather goods and other merchandise, you have to go to one of the 3 mentioned H boutiques. Good lick!

Yes they pop up on h.com from time to time in the 22. There was a bleu agate 22 on Christmas Day. It's all just luck finding the color that you want.

And yes fsh will sell it to you IF THEY HAVE IT, which is the big if. As I said the bags are popular because they are inexpensive and the 22 is most popular. So supplies are often low. Many people will also buy them as a consolation prize if they can't find a B/k at fsh. The trip that I looked I tried all three stores and they only had pink in a 22, orange in the larger size and that's it. Duty free had three shades of bleu from which to choose in the 22. So I suggest trying all stores including duty free.
