ohmbeads really does pride itself on quality and isn't just a knockoff. The threads match all styles - and no the threading is not trademarked by Pandora.

After I read this, I decided to do a bit of research. I thought it was the threaded system that Pandora had patented. (Pandora doesn't really explain it in their brochures -- they just list a patent number.) Turns out I was mistaken.

Thanks to Google Patent search, I was able to find out that Pandora's patent is for the system of using locks or clips to keep beads from bunching up (called "keepers" in the patent application).

And here's a related press release on Pandora's website from May 2009:

I have been Pandora shopping where the sales associate just doesn't realize what kind of customer she is dealing with! :shame: LOL I am not trying to sound snobbish, but we, here on this forum, know a lot about Pandora and probably more than most sales people that sell Pandora...

I so agree with you on this; it is so frustrating to deal with a SA who doesn't know her product. I had one to tell me that Pandora didn't make a particular bead that I was looking for. She wasn't even embarrassed when she found it in the catelog. We know more about the product than many of these SAs sometimes it's just easier to shop online. ;)

Well I went to the Pandora Concept store that opened near Atlanta today. Smaller than I thought it would be. They didn't have any promos or giveaways :shucks: - kind of surprised me. Today was their opening day, I guess it was supposed to be a "soft" opening since it wasn't advertised, but they still didn't mention doing anything this weekend to celebrate their opening. Just let me enter into a raffle to win a free bracelet worth $250.

I saw some of the new beads and the leather bracelets (owner let me look the bracelets they had even though they didn't have any for sale yet). I must say I LOVE the double leather bracelets! For $30 you can't beat it! They're soft, I think they'll feel good on. The peace sign bead is cute - very sparkly, great for a teen! I wanted to buy the new knot with the amethyst dangle, but their cc machine was messing up and I didn't have enough in cash. I ended up getting ANOTHER pair of mix and match earrings (I just love them!) and the travel jewelry box (really neat!). I could have bought so much more, I guess I'm lucky the cc machine was messed up! Ahh thank goodness my birthday is the 24th of this month! I'll definitely be talking the boyfriend into taking a trip up there!

i saw someone the other day say that there was an ebay seller similar to the one that ripped everyone off for the grape charms... check out this listing by them... ridiculous! AND someone is BIDDING! ugh. I reported a couple of their listings. I think others should do the same!

This is the one I mentioned on here....I think that this is definitely jewels-2005 re incarnated....buy from them at your peril....am still smarting re lost revenue and crap beads!

I am starting to stack my bracelets. I don't really like the look of two full ones on me(plus, it's heavy), but I am wearing my two-tone bracelet that IS full with a new bracelet with only 3 beads and clips. I am liking them together!

Here is my bead-look question... I just got the two-tone "Laces" bead and it looks kind of sporty. I really like it and am wearing it on my new empty-ish bracelet with the two-tone flower ball with clear CZs, but I need a third bead. Which one??? I want something shiny, not so oxidized. I am giving it up to the experts: YOU! Can you help?

I've never seen it in person (or haven't really paid attention), but what about the "Eyelet Lace" bead? I think its kind of funky, might look neat with the laces bead and there's hardly any oxidation (if any at all).
Here's the link in case you don't know which bead I'm talking about:

How about the two-tone bead with the crown on it? I was never fond of the bead until I got my Husky and named him King ,I see you have a puppy too. I bought the bead and its really nice both for a dressy and casual look. Let us know what you decide :D:D

I am very excited I scored the red double leather bracelet. I went for the double brown and single black but they did not arrive to my Pandora shoppe yet???? The light brown one looks goldish in person very pretty but I was not sure enough to try it.Maybe next summer with my two-tone.I am signing off to play with it now.:woohoo:
