I'm curious and want to know - how can you tell their beads are fake? I've always checked here first about sellers, but what about the people who don't know about this board? I've been burned so many times via ebay on products.
This one looks fake to me because the stone looks way to bright purple to be amethyst and there's not much oxidation on the bead. They have the peridot listed too and the same goes for the stone, it just doesn't look right. If you look at the hypnotic bead they have posted it looks too oval, the flower doesn't look right, and the lines are all sloppy. I have all of these beads and they look nothing like mine.
I personally make it a rule to only buy from certain people that I know are reliable. I like to only buy from the country I live in (US). I always check their feedback to see what other people are saying. I use a negative feedback checker that you can find on google that will tell all of the negative feedback they've gotten in the past year. I compare the online pictures with the ones on the Pandora site. If someone isn't posting an actual picture of the bead (i.e. they've used a stock picture or copied someone else's), I'm a lot less likely to bid on it. If the listing says "fit" or "for" run the other way! If some things seem too good to be true, they probably are.
