I just got my bracelet 2 weeks ago and I am now obsessed! I've just had the flu and read this and the original entire thread!

I've now got 2 clips, safety chain, 4 beads & a spacer. I have them all (apart from the chain) in the middle section as I like the look of them altogether, however it does slide down and they are always at the other side of my wrist if you know what I mean. When everyone else was filling theirs did you put them all in one section at first or did you say put 2 in each section and spread them out? What do you think is best?:thinkin:

I just thought I'd pop in and say hi to all the Pandora girls. :) I think I posted some of my charms eons ago in the old Pandora thread. My mom started my bracelet for me last year. Then I hadn't bought new charms in the longest time. She passed away on July 4th and I had been trying to decide what charm would be good to put on my bracelet for my mom. I finally settled on a Rose since that is her favorite flower and what we always bring with us when we visit her grave. The other one I was considering was the calculator since my mom was a Math teacher and I always joked that she was my human calculator, but I discovered that is retired and quite hard to find currently.

I happened upon some of kendellew's newer listings recently and she had the Rose bead I was wanting to get. I got that along with several other charms including my first Murano bead charms (pink!)! :D The store by me that sold Pandora charms went out of business a few months ago so I figured I'd give the murano beads a chance at a discount since I don't have the luxury of buying them in person currently.

Anyway, I have two Pandora bracelets, one with a bead clasp and one with the lobster clasp. My charms are all on the bead clap bracelet atm. My bead clasp bracelet should be close to finished once my new charms arrive. All I need to buy are some clips for it and a safety chain.

Here's the most recent picture I have of my bracelet.

Since that picture was taken I added the cupcake and one of the bag beads. Now I'll be adding 5 more charms along with four murano bead ones that I got kendellew. I'll take an updated picture of my bracelet once those arrive in the new few days. :)

I'm hoping to add a few more two tone beads to my collection eventually and also love the new Murano beads with the hearts. I'm also really looking forward to seeing the new Fall beads!

Rosemary, sorry to hear about your Mum and I think that your bracelet will look gorgeous with the muranos and other beads added. The pink colours are always popular and look great with the silver. You will have to post a picture when you get your new beads

Erinbuffy - I know what you mean about the beads sliding around to the opther side of your wrist when your bracelet is new. I just started my bracelet not long ago and thought I'd fill up the middle section forst now working on the sides. I think certain beads look better next to others so I just play around with the beads until I'm happy with them so don't spread them out over the 3 sections. Its a pain becase if I want to add some beads to the last section, I need to take them all off.

rubyjuls sorry to hear about your mum, what a lovely bead to remember her by. Is the calculator bead the same or similar to the phone bead? They have it here online, retired for $199AUD, I know it is a bit pricey. You might be able to find it cheaper on eBay.

Erinbuffy when I first started my pandora bracelet, I put all the beads in one section, they hung down under my wrist but it wasn't long before I had most of the bracelet filled up.

Here is my first dip into Murano beads. I think I need to add a few silver spacers to take up some of the "swish" in the middle.

I am hoping to do a few more "middle section" bracelets in color themes. I should be finished with a pink one shortly.

Very nice - I love the purple and green. Before I got my white muranos, I was going to just use the lilac enamel beads like you have above but they were $93 each and when I tried them with the other beads, they didn't really work that well - but I do like the start to your bracelet.

TY, Izzy's mom, for your reply!
I looked at all of my colored beads & the ebay one really is different to me. The type on the 925 Ale side is a lot smaller than any of my other beads & the size is smaller enough that it's noticeble on the bracelet. I'll look at it again tomorrow. Honestly I didn't think anything of it until I saw the beads together. They really don't look alike!
TY, too, Lolas!

Like others have said please don;t presume her beads are fake due to size of the muranos- When I was finishing my 2nd bracelet off a few weeks back I picked 3 purple muranos from the Pandora store- I actually had problems finding 3 a similiar size- even though they had heaps of that murano- Some were funny shapes even like slightly straight sides- lol They may have cursed me weeding through to find the best 3 that matched- even the final 3 were not completely alike. Hope this helps to put your mind at rest.

Everyone's bracelets are looking great:nuts: - have not visited for awhile.
Any Aus. ladies know how much the leather Pandora bracelets are? Really like the pink limited edition leather lariat with the breast cancer bead in this months Marie Claire, might have to get one!

Have any of you Pandora experts found any other "Authentic" Pandora sellers one ebay that sell inferior charms? I have bought most of my charms from Pandora shops or Jewellry shops authorized to sell Pandora. But I just bought an expensive one from ebay for quite a savings for me in Canada. I guess I'll be ok with it as long as the sliver and gold don't peel off. I use to love ebay, but there are some shady characters on there now. Thanks for any help you can give me.

I'm a bit confused :confused1: by your post. Do you need us to look at a bead to help determine if it is authentic? Or do you need some recommendations of online vendors that some of us use that we feel comfortable buying from? Not quite sure what info you are looking for but I'm here willing to help!

Sorry Izzy's Mom, but I'm looking for online ebay vendors who sell authentic beads. With all the talk about the murano sizes and the Pandora beads carry the letters “ALE”. It is followed by “925ss” for silver jewelries and by “585” for gold. I've read some complaints on this list that the markings are whiter on some beads bought on ebay than the beads they bought in a Pandora store. I guess I need names of online vendors you feel comfortable buying from. Thanks for asking me to clarify this.

I was complaining a few weeks back about my ebay purchase the hanging 2 tone gold high heal. I bought my last 2 tone dangle the anchor when on holiday in Queensland 2 weeks ago- I got it from an authorised Pandora stockist the Silver Shop in Canelands Mackay- It turns out that it is VERY similar to my ebay purchase- the 925 and ALE are both VERY white- which none of my past beads are and It is white inside the grooves of the bead itself too- just like the one from ebay. I think that they are just newer beads and am not worried at all anymore about the Authenticity of my ebay high heal. It's been worn heaps for weeks now and still looks GREAT.

BTW hello-I've not been chating much on here of late but still been catching up on posts etc- like someone else said it got pretty quiet on here for a while- seems a little more interest is picking up again.

I was told yesterday that the Australian pink bracelet for breast cancer as shown in Marie Claire Mag will be out next month. The local jeweller was saying it is a pink leather one. Has anyone a picture from the magazine? I havant seen it yet.

You know, the more I think about this problem of some of the markings being white/silver on certain Pandora beads, the more I think that's just the way they are supposed to be.

Many of the sterling silver and some of the ss/14k beads are oxidized to give them further detail. But certain beads don't look oxidized to me at all. If there was not reason to dip them in the oxidizing solution, then the inside, ALE marking, etc. would all remain white/silver. From what I have read, jewelers tend to use a solution of liver of silver and water to oxidize sterling silver. It's toxic, needs to be used in a well-ventilated area, but works fairly quickly. It also oxidizes the entire surface of the silver and requires buffing/polishing to reveal the silver on the raised areas of the item.

Here are some beads that look entirely un-oxidized to me. I would expect their markings and threads to be bright silver, just like the rest of the bead. (I don't own any of these beads, so I can't confirm my hunch at the moment.)
