Like I said: Timing is Everything. She has movie to promote and this Non story suddenly comes up Again. Above story says it all. I remember it well. Oprah really is so full of herself. 6:30PM Store is closed. Even if You are Pope, come back next day. These people cant care less about who You are. White black or purple. They want to go home to their family. Bye Oprah. Its all about Racism with Oprah but only when it suits her. She is playing it like it suits her That time and this time. This is how I see it

^^this

She should've just showed the bag. End of story, honestly. Just cause you think she can't afford it don't mean anything. Most of the time people don't walk to these high end stores with every piece of jewelry they own and I'm sure Oprah was looking regular as hell cause she really isn't that flashy. I know I've experienced this kind before, but if I don't like the service I go to the manager (Oprah should've done this if she didn't). Girl missed out on some major commission though lol.

I would like to hear the SAs side. Most SA's are told by their head bosses probably that a certain kind can't afford it, but like I said just cause they not going in there looking like a million bucks don't mean anything. People going to learn one day.
Commission for SAs is more usual in the US...

thank you!!! PERIOD!!!!

things are very very different today about how people "look" that have money. on an episode of "million dollar listing" madison made the comment how he has learned not to judge a person if they can afford the property by the way they are dressed at a showing. one guy came in barefoot looking like the gardener and paid cash for a multi-million dollar property! the people that work in/own these very $$$$ stores need to remember that before they decide if someone can afford something they sale.
in this day of "new money" you just can't be sure! it changes some - and others it doesn't.

Well, just because she wanted to look at the bad didn't mean she would have purchased it.

I personally think most SA's should know this by now but maybe they don't.

I totally agree. I do this all the time. If I want to know the price, I will ask the SA. But sometimes you just want to hold a bag before determining if it is right for you, before inquiring about the price.

Especially on the West Coast, you can not always tell who has money because many people dress down.

oh give me a break oprah.....welcome to the real world, where people that walk into stores that arent "oprah winfrey" dont get the royal treatment....we all know that certain stores in this world, NOT necc the US, treat EVERYONE a certain way when they dont look a certain way...dressed down, no makeup, crappy clothes. etc.........happens to EVERYONE regardless of the skin color

and that is their story to tell if they wish - just as oprah has the same choice.

Sure she does, but will she ever stop accusing people of being racist just because she was not treated like Queen Oprah? This kind of stuff happens regardless of colour.

Agree! Don't want to say too much about this because it's a very sensitive topic to some, but I hate when the term racism is abused.
