Ok. Now I am annoyed.

I understand you guys want to have a warning about this store. I will wait to hear from her, hopefully today or tomorrow at the latest. If I dont, then I will have to let you guys know so that this won't happen to you too. This is from a reputable reseller so I am conscious about the shops name. You know, in case there is a good explaination for this.

Thanks guys. I really hope someone is not carrying my baby like that!!!!!

I'm so sorry to hear this and must commend you, during such an ordeal, for remaining circumspect until the story is straight. I hope it works out ASAP.

You have every right to be angry. I would suggest mapping out your game plan to reclaim your bag. Be firm and get your bag back. The longer this goes on the more ridiculous it is. It sounds like you have been having a tough time and no one deserves to be treated like this. You have been more than patient.

Wow, I've just read this and am amazed. It does sound dodgy to me that they don't have your bag on the shelf and are stalling you. I'd absolutely go back in there and get your bag back.

Xiao Xiao you have been so patient with this reseller. It sounds like there are trouble ahead with this reseller and maybe u need to start checking terms/conditions of the consignment contract to assert your rights! Even they return the bag to you, you still should be given proof of its whereabout, otherwise, shouldn't you be compensated for the shop's broken promise (ie, putting the bag on shelf)?

I'm sorry that this experience is so stressful. It sounds like the shop owner/employees are not being forthcoming with you. My first thought was that they misplaced the bag somewhere in the shop - not that it is gone, but they can't quite put their hands on it. Seems odd for a consignment shop to send something out for an expensive months-long cleaning process. They can let the new owner do that.

What sort of paperwork do you have with the shop owner? That should help you to understand your rights in the situation. You have been VERY patient and kind about the whole thing. You are well within your rights to strongly request that they return the bag to you asap.

(Your son is sure a cutie!)

hi chill. At this point I just want to take it back and never work with them again. I thought to choose to work with a reputable seller, ie the forum endorses, would be a good choice (ie safer) than selling on ebay. But as much as it pains me to say: I am wrong. Yes I feel they abused my trust and my loyalty, but knowing the store and myself, chances of me getting some compensation from them will be slim. I just hope its not someone has been using it and then got sent to spa.

I have consignment with them right now, and they sent me a piece of paper with everything on it. But now you mention it, my bag was not included in the item list!!!!!!!!

Dear xiaoxiao, I am so sorry to hear about your ordeal. If you brought the bag in for consignment, then they have absolutely NO RIGHT to take it to the spa or wherever WITHOUT your consent! I also doubt that they sent it in to authenticate it becaus all consignment stores have their own experts, if they any doubt about the authenticity, then they wouldn't have accepted your bag in the first place. No consignment store will take your bag, then doubt your authenticity, and then send it back to the original producer (be it Hermes or LV or Chanel, etc) just to be sure. It's unheard of. Demand to know what happened and exactly where is your bag because the bag is still YOURS. It's not like they bought the bag from you already. Ask to have your bag back immediately and do not pay for the spa because it was done WITHOUT your consent, plus, you only just sent it in 9 months ago! Also, some stores will charge you a monthly or weekly fee if the bag doesn't sell. Be sure they don't charge you that because it was NEVER on the shelf for sale. Good luck, please keep us posted. If all else fails, take them to small claims court (if there is ANY damage to your bag or they immorally charge you any fees), it's fast, inexpensive, and effective. :hugs:

Think positive xiaoxiao. Get your bag back immediately and put this behind you. Best wishes.

Just read your post that the bag wasn't itemized on your list. Did you walk out of the store with a list? It seems, from what you wrote and I'm interpreting, is that they sent you a list without the bag. You need to get into that store tomorrow!!!

But I do have an email from the owner saying they took the bag to h to clean...

Great, that is good enough to acknowledge that they have it. How about putting together a strongly worded email that you can send to them. You are going to want a paper trail of your conversations with them on this topic and it is not as difficult to fire off an em as it is to have a conversation sometimes. Feel free to PM me if you want some help wording it. Time to get your bag back home!

thanks lovebolide! I just emailed her (didnt see your response), basically saying as of right now the store doesn't have the bag and no one has informed me where the bag is. I understand she is busy, but I have been leaving messages and writing email with no return. I would like to have the bag back immediately. And if the bag is still at the spa, i would like to have the receipt and get it from claude myself. I signed it with 'thanks' and I am looking forward to hearing from her soon.

Xiaoxiao:hugs:
I hope all works out...please let us know what happens!! (and if there is any chance. the name of the shop too! I would really like to know!)
