Ok. Now I am annoyed.

This is a terrible story

They should never have sent YOUR bag for cleaning without asking/informing you first. I would have been so pissed-off :cursing:.

I don't think you should give them anymore time to waste. Instead, confront them in every possible way until you get a proper answer.

My best wishes that all goes well

Thanks guys! I have yet heard back from the owner... The store is opened at noon, I will call around that time, hopefully I can speak to at least the SM, if not the owner. I know for a fact that the SM has left the owner several messages to call back, and she was really surprised to hear I haven't heard from the owner yet. So yesterday, she promised me she will leave another message for the owner. But the SM told me she doesn't know where the bag is, which leads me to believe it's never at the store for sale!!

Sorry you're going through this! I can't believe a consignment store owner felt it was appropriate to have your bag cleaned? Is that right in your contract? I would review the contract closely. Keep us updated and hugs!

OMG I am really late to this thread. I am outraged for you! This is totally unacceptable.

If you want to play hardball- Put in writing a formal demand requesting the immediate return of your bag, and that they are no longer authorized to sell the bag. Insist that the store manager contact you by 3pm today or you will report this to the BBB, the police and take legal action if necessary.

There is simply no excuse for this. It is YOUR property and this is TOTALLY inexcusable on teh part of this reseller. Sending you huge hugs right now! If you need anything, just PM Me!

Xiaoxiao-----Sounds like the SM is shifting the responsibility to the owner. E-mails and phonecalls...they'll just keep stalling. You probably need to go there in person, be firm, tell them you would like your bag back.:lecture:

Thanks jag and all. I have written an email telling her either:
1) if the bag is still at the spa, give me the receipt and I will get it from claude myself
2) if the bag is back from the spa and on the shelf, I will pay for the spa if she gives me the original receipt, and return the bag to me
3) if the bag is sold, cut me the check

either one of the three situations will happen tomorrow, when I come by the store. In the email, I have also told her that I tried to email, left messages and she has not returned any. And I also told her that the bag was not at the store as of yesterday and no one had informed me of the whereabout of the bag. If I dong hear from her, or the store had declined to give me information about the bag, I would like to speak to a lawyer. Anybody in the forum is a lawyer btw?
