ummmm... That actually might not be a bad idea! Maybe they will say they have my bag somewhere!

They could say, we will have one here soon, its being cleaned. Then they should ask for a phone number so they can call when it comes in.
Or if someone is using it, they certainly should say, "we'll have one here in a day or two." (Hate to say it but it crossed my mind that someone is might be using it.)
 
No... They didn't. I found out myself because I was there a week after I dropped it off, and it wasn't on the shelf. So I asked the SM and she said she had no idea. Then I got hold of the owner, and that's when she told me it's with cleaning right now. I was a little bit surprised but didn't think too much about it (And can't, I have a baby I need to take care of!).
 
I can't imagine a reputable consignment shop taking someone's property and sending it out for cleaning or whatever without asking the owner's permission. I would be totally livid if this happened to me.

I have taken things to a consignment shop (my fur coats since I no longer wear fur) and I expected them to be put up for sale almost immediately, which thankfully they were. I cannot imagine the store owner sending them out to be cleaned first without asking me, especially if the cleaning could take longer than a couple days.

I am just totally incredulous that the store owner had the nerve to do something like this with your bag. I hope you get it back soon. You are waaaay more patient than I am!

Absolutely!!

We don't want you stressing unecessarily but we all just feel for you that a "reputable" reseller could be this evasive about where your valuable bag is
 
If they sent it to H for cleaning, then they have a Repairs Request, Leather Goods receipt from H. They can pick up the bag at anytime. Clean or not. Your bag did not need reconditioning. Did they show you a claim receipt like this???
 
Sounds horrible. They have your bag yet they don't know where it is?!?!?! Unacceptable. I really hope your problem is solved soon and you'll get your bag sold. Gives me creeps to hear how rude they've been towards you.... :sad: :hugs:
