Thank you @Sourisbrune for your fantastic information! You always have the scoop. I was looking at the website recently and was reminded yet again Knightly's designs just don't hold up to Ramesh's. Not by a long shot. So his departure is not a big surprise. I remember going to M in SCP a few times and those super sweet SA's really tried to push those new bags, but the Ramesh bags were the only ones I was interested in. Looking forward to hearing about the new designer and the plan moving forward. Until then I kinda want one of those very black Gabrielle clutches! So beautiful.LVMH had a vision (to grow the brand/make it less artisanal). Those who didn’t share the vision left. In comes Knightly, eager to lead Moynat down their new path. Well, we clients, for the most part, didn’t like where it was going. Bosses don’t fire themselves so … I’m sure y’all can figure it out. Not a fairytale ending.Equal blame in my eyes. Not every little company needs to be ruled heavy-handedly by a major corporation. Some of us love little luxury brand artisanal bags.

The Quattro looks wonderful as well! Im curious to know if you've flipped it inside -out often to use it's interior colour? I love how well it holds its shape. I know where to look when I need a workbag next!

For the Gaby “M”clasp, it is really easy to close. The SA at SCP told me to lift the bottom clasp (the upside down V) to meet the M on the flap, then twist the V in place. That’s it.
Moynat needs to update their canvas strap collection because what in the world are these drab colors? 
None of them matches the Ultra Black, Canvas, or those candy-colored Rejanes and Gabrielles.
Look at Goyard. They have a canvas strap for every Goyardine color

Here is a picture of my cute wallet from 2014, my first trip to Paris. My friend and I stumbled into the Moynat store on rue Saint-Honoré without knowing a thing about the brand. We both fell in love. I got this wallet, she bought a Quattro. The SA walked us through the brand, told us about Ramesh, explained everything about the leathers. I was sold from that point on...

I miss the old Moynat. They also had some lovely marquetry items in small accessories ranging from document carriers to keychains.

If I remember correctly, Moynat recently had a sale on Knightly designs that correlated with a boost in Ramesh’s creations. That was the first sign, for me, that design tides were changing.
You’re so kind, but I can’t say I ‘always have a scoop’ on things Moynat — I’m just fortunate to know a few people, one for over a decade, in luxury companies.
Silence runs deep in these companies — especially when it comes to upcoming products. Knowing upcoming products is the ultimate in scoops. Wouldn’t that be nice!
NYC Moynat has both sizes of the new Gabrielle — bb-$5100 and pm-$5300. I asked about the hardware and was told it is not plated black — the black is infused into the metal.
