Gucci was an established premier brand and then they expanded to a small outlet presence. When you think of Gucci you don't think of "sale" or getting a Gucci bag on sale. Coach's brand recognition is their outlets at this point as they've trained us for sales. I don't forsee the outlets going way, that is why Coach will never be premier no matter how many $1k bags they produce.

Coach's brand recognition is their outlets at this point as they've trained us for sales. I don't forsee the outlets going way, that is why Coach will never be premier no matter how many $1k bags they produce.
Outlets carry the company, especially the big outline Woodberry Commons and the big one in CA. They are not going anywhere.
Gucci was one of the first outlets back when Woodbury Commons opened, and that was 30 years ago and they have an outlet in Secaucus, NJ that’s been there just as long.
In regard to getting Gucci on sale, every Gucci I’ve ever owned was on sale bought during the summer and winter sales that they used to have. I’m not into Gucci anymore so I don’t know if the sales still exist.
I made this comment because Coach has a lot of $1K bags listed. Yes, I’ve seen one or two high priced coach bags offered over the years and I go way back with Coach but this is the first time I’ve seen this many at one time.
Anyone can be successful if you want the item. Those are not on my radar. Jaja.
All coach are deleted at some point and sent to the outlet. I have never understood why ppl get upset over that. Its part of the life of buying coach. We might not see all deletes that go to the outlets bc trust me employees snatch before they get to the floor. Also they might be enough to go to all stores. Higher volume stores get the better deletes. The ones mentioned above were deletes, however they could have be small amounts or purchased by non tpf ppl or by employees. Coach is going to get their money for these bags one way or another. Via ppl who cant wait or ppl who can wait. I been waiting for yearssssss. Thats why my collection is so large. If I purchased retail my collection would much much smaller.
Coach will never be premier and I am fine with that. Just remember when you purchase a coach bag from the retail store and you pay retail dont be upset that 3 months or so ppl are finding them a great discount prices. Its the way of Coach. Truth.

You used to think of sale with Gucci. They were notorious for their twice a year sales and I have gotten quite the bargain during those sales. It’s only of recent that the sales have stopped although you can still snag a sale bag at department stores. Gucci Outlets not as prevalent as coach but still there are quite a few. I agree coach will not and is not considered a premier brand.
They don’t do sales anymore but you can still snag a sale bag at department stores although it’s tough to do. I too bought some unbelievable bags at sale prices in the past.
In the end, for me, it doesn’t matter if it’s contemporary or premier. Coach gives more bang for the buck, especially since I can wait for it and enjoy it at a 30/50/60/70% discount.

And here I thought some were talking about the fact that some Rogues don’t have the key tag...which I assumed was to house a spare key for house, etc. Some of them don’t have it, some do.
