I love the 1941 items at the outlet. More in my closet. Even first generations which I recently just purchased and going to get a few more once they go back to 70 off. They going to get there money. Trust meITA. They had their chance with the 1941 collection but opted to increase their outlet presence instead. We're on our third "generation" of rogues now; each decreasing in quality and construction. First gen had the lock, thick glovetanned leather and substantial hardware; second generation lost the lock along with thinner glovetanned leather; newer rogues are without the key fob! Madness I tell you.
So Coach is now venturing into $1000+ bags. Does this make them a premier or just a high priced contemporary brand?

All my rogues have key. Just got a saddle bag from outletMaybe I’m wrong, but the only Coach 1941 item that did not make it to the outlets were the 1st Generation Rogues, the ones with the thick pebble leather handles and the lock and key. Those were the best!
Those were greatCoach has had $1000+ bags for years...the mini-stud Edies and Taxi Totes from 2014 come right to mind. The top of the line retail leather Coach bags have always skirted the line with the premier brands like LV.
them not sending bags to the outlet not happeningHigh price contemporary. They'd have to consistently present and sell over many seasons most bags over the 1k price point, and have some in the over 2k and 3k mark. Add to that, they could not have more outlets than retail stores or produce low-priced items for their outlets.
I'd argue they would have to have a larger permanent collection and abolish most if not all outlets as well.
1st 2nd 3td or 4th, all 10m of my rogues are the best. Leather on all are amazingMaybe I’m wrong, but the only Coach 1941 item that did not make it to the outlets were the 1st Generation Rogues, the ones with the thick pebble leather handles and the lock and key. Those were the best!
Ty. Yes. I see the lock the quality of all my rogues are great in my opinion. I have no issuesView attachment 4397313 View attachment 4397314
I’m talking about the 1st generation Rogues that had different zipper pulls and an actual working lock with a key. The leather was thicker especially on the handles. The next generation had different zipper pulls, different leather on the handles and no lock but still had the key hood but no key since no lock.
Ah I love that bag! I wish they made them like that again! I have the "2nd gen?" black/prussian and even a F-creeded rogue shoulder, and both are great IMHO, but the 1st gensView attachment 4397313 View attachment 4397314

Yes! I have that black/Prussian too! They are all great bags but Coach really outdid themselves with that 1st generation ones, it spoiled us!
Sorry for hijacking this thread! Maybe we should start a new thread on bags that didn’t make it to the outlet and see how many we can come up with LOL!
