Some consider bleu nuit a dark navy but, I don’t view/read the color that way. IMHO it’s the perfect navy (not too dark and not too light). Whereas bleu indigo can read black at times.

Hi Ladies - I'm really in need of some advise. I've been on the hunt for my first Hermes handbag for a while now but been bouncing all around as to exactly what I want. I initially thought that I'd like the GP 30 but then switched gears and am now in love with the Picotin 22.

I happened to go into NYC this past Saturday and had to go up to Madison Ave so stopped into Hermes to see some in person. I got a really nice SA who brought a few for me to look at and I walked away with a beautiful bleu brighton w/ ghw. The only problem is that once I got it home, I realized that it really doesn't go with most of my wardrobe. I just feel that I won't reach for it too often and I really want a bag that I use.

I'm really thinking of going back and seeing about exchanging it for a different color. I really didn't think I wanted a neutral color but on Saturday I was also shown what I believe was a Gris Asphalt or Etain which I really did like a lot but worried about possible color transfer as I tend to wear jeans a bit.

Can anyone who has a bag in these colors tell me if you've ever had an issues with color transfer, showing dirt or wear more?

Any other color recommendations. I'm going to call the SA that helped me on Saturday to get his opinion and ask about other color options but would love to have some insight from all of you beforehand. :smile:

Hi, meg8182000! I have a Pico 22 in Etain and I love it! It was my first H bag! No color transfer so far even though I wear jeans with that Pico, so I think Etain would be a fantastic choice. It's more than a year now that I have it and it doesn't show dirt or wear either. Also, I bought a MaiTai insert to help keep it in shape. HTH! ;)

Thanks for your reply crisbac! :smile: I appreciate your input as it puts my mind to rest a bit to entertain a lighter color. Can I ask what color hardware does your bag have? I really fell for the ghw but think that might be harder to find.

My pleasure, meg8182000! My Pico has palladium hardware. Etain with gold hardware would be so beautiful! :tup:

I have Halzan in Etain clemence which I always wear with jeans & jeggings that I never had a problem. I'm actually picking up pico18 Etain GHW tomorrow. My boutique just got bunch of them in GHW yesterday so there's a hope to find d one in GHW as well.

Hi Meg8182000,

I’ve had my etain pico 18 for little more than a week now and I’ve been wearing jeans everyday with no colour transfer problem so far.

I initially wanted a bright colour for my pico but fell in love with etain the moment I saw it (love the cooler grey). Mine has palladium hardware but GHW would be to TDF!
