I personally have a difficult time paying more than retail for luxury items, but that's just my stubborn nature. I'm willing to wait, perhaps for nothing as something I want may never be available/offered to me. However, I also haven't come across a something I want that badly, YET. It may still happen one day! LOL
Yikes - I paid almost double! Not quite but a great deal above retail.
I totally agree with Book Worm... The hardware is a personal preference.. I wear white and yellow gold, and have the same color bags in both GHW and PHW. I think it's a very casual bag, regardless of hardware.. Regarding the price, I personally have a difficult time paying more than retail for luxury items, but that's just my stubborn nature. LOL If you absolutely love it, and don't want to bother with the wait for one in store, then it's totally worth it. But if you're iffy, then it may not be the one for you.
PS It's an adorable little bag. I hate that I can't fit my phone in it, but I still love it!
I use an iPhone 12 Pro Max and it fits in my tpm ok.I hope I can fit my phone in it!!

I have an iPhone 12 Pro regular, so I should be ok. Whew!
Looking for some advice from the evelyne loving TPFers out there, as this was purchased pre-loved just recently. I noticed that the stitching on the tab doesn’t match the main bag. Have any of you seen this before?

I had the same mentality, but that one day just happened for me…View attachment 5294396
If it makes you feel any better, I paid over msrp as well, lol.
Hi @daisygal03
FYI - here is a pic of my Evelyne III 29, which I purchased from my Hermes boutique. It's noir, so it's hard to see the stitches. Sorry! I think it's kind of similar to yours, but mine are a bit smaller on the top of the bag. These bags are hand-made, so they can't have the same stitches, I think!
I also attached a pic of my Evelyne TPM (Bleu Nuit) that I purchased from the same boutique for more reference.

Oh, I see! Sorry, I don’t have any Evie with a light colour. Interesting! I’m curious about it too. Let’s hope someone will check their Evelyne with a light colour and post a pic.Thank you so much! Ah I should’ve been clearer when describing. It’s the color of the stitching (between the main bag and the tab) that I noticed looks different on my bag. The stitching on the tab looks gray, but the main bag looks more cream/white.
Maybe it’s only like this on lighter color bags…

It's quite possible that different threads are used to stitch different parts of the bag. It wouldn't bother me in the slightest. But this is your concern. I have Noir and Feu Evelyne's so I'm not much help to check my personal bags.Thank you so much! Ah I should’ve been clearer when describing. I’m good now, thank you for the reassurance! I found a friend that also has a gris perle evelyne and it has the same variation in the color threads. It's quite possible that different threads are used to stitch different parts of the bag. That’s what I thought at first, but it is barely used and in like new condition. Also, the thread color is consistent on the front and back of the tab which wouldn’t be the case if it were due to wear and tear.I have an etoupe with contrast white stitching. The white is consistent throughout.
I'm wondering, since you mentioned your's is preloved, if that grey stitching is just something related to prior usage?
