Ode to the Evelyne

I have not had my Evelyne very long (less than a year) and the stamp/lettering is beginning to rub off. I do wear it frequently with this side (being the side with the perforated H) facing inwards. Is it normal for the lettering stamp to be wearing off so quickly?

Looks very nice
Is that a Evie 29 ?
That’s one maxi twilly?
How much space (inches) is from under your armpit to the top of the bag carried on your shoulder ...
Thank you
Hi, yes it is a Evie 29, it's the old longer maxi twilly and I don't know the strap length as I already pulled the scarf off but here's a picture of me wearing it. I'm 5'1" for reference.

Mine is about a little over a year old as well and my “H” is rubbing off the heat stamp. I don’t wear it that much and I wear it with the “H” facing out. I kind of think it’s from grabbing the bag by the top sometimes? I’m not sure.

Great reference .. thank you

That’s a perfect length... love it on you
Does the twilly seem strong enough?
I mean not filling your bag .. keeping 1/2 or less filled?

Is this the size of your twilly in this link?

No problem with the twilly being strong enough. It's all about how strong you tie the knot. Silk is incredibly strong.

No, that's not the maxi twilly I used. H discounted it. It's the OG maxi twilly that's longer than the maxi cut (which I think has been discontinued too) and much wider the the maxi slim. I think you will have to look for it from a reseller. Good luck!

Ok I just measured mine, 87" x 8". Here's one of the OG maxi twills on Ebay. You have to look for these dimensions.

Anyone have experience with the leather stretching out on a TPM size?

I just bought a H Piccolo pencil case to use to hold my small miscellany but the Piccolo does not really fit standing up on it's end as I'd planned and kinda sticks out. So now I'm thinking I'll put it lengthwise tucked across the bottom of the bag....

So here's the kicker: it just barely fits because the Piccolo length is basically exactly as wide as the TPM... I thought the Piccolo would be 1/2" shorter than the bag is wide and thus slip right into place, but I'm wrong. It takes a little "nudging" to get it in there - I have to tuck it in there manually. Once it's in, the Piccolo sorta "pokes" into the leather on the left/right sides of the Evie (on the sides under the clasps, not on the front/back panel).

Do you guys think this is a no-no and would stretch the Evie over time and make it look bad? Or would you not worry about it?
.

Yes...if you overstuff the TPM for too long it will get marks and lose a bit of shape. Clemence is soft and does stretch out.
