Unfortunately

My SA messaged me today she has a bolide 31 black with palladium hardware. I had a bolide on my wishlist in classic colours but wanted it for work and that it could fit a laptop so thought 35 would be better.
She will save it for me until Saturday as its when I’m able to go to the boutique.
Really want a bolide to celebrate its 100 years, would be my first bolide. is it a good size (although I don’t think it would fit a laptop)? usually prefer gold hardware. Although I don’t actually own a black bag so could be a good addition. Anyone has this bag and absolutely loves it?

Unfortunately, I don't think a laptop will fit in a bolide 31; a tablet or kindle type device would work, but you'd really need the larger 35cm size to accommodate a laptop, and that might be tight because of the sloped shoulders of the bolide design. Further, bolide 35s aren't being produced ATM in favor of the smaller sizes most customers prefer, so your best bet will be searching for a pre-loved bag.

I wasn’t sure the 35 wasn’t in production at the moment (I love the idea of pre loved but I’m never able to pull the trigger). I have the feeling when I see the bag on Saturday I will love it let’s see. Might still be a good work bag, I just need to continue to carry my laptop in my New Yorker tote bag ahahah

@amdmarques I am excited for you I love the Bolide 31 and love the specs you were offered. Also I posted somewhere on here it does actually fit but you cannot zip it up. Good luck deciding but I do hope you love it when you see it

Congrats! Do you mind sharing where your boutique is? I too asked my SA for a bolide 31 and he said he hasn’t seen one in a while. I got a bag recently so am happy to wait and just glad to hear these offers still exist!

I looked at the Hermes pouches but they were huge. Although the dimensions were listed online, they have no sense of perspective, not modeled against anything. I think their website needs some work. here we go... The LV site is just the same for SLGs

Thanks for your response, mine is not a MacBook but I will take the laptop with me to try on the store, she’s very kind and saving it for me until Saturday.
I’m very tempted as it is a classic and would be forever and I don’t have a black bag, but also kind wanted something more special for the 100th anniversary (this is probably my mind just being annoying)

I’m in Germany, I started shopping in a new boutique in February as I didn’t enjoy my local one (this one is like 1:30 drive from my home) and in that first visit I told her I was interested in a bolide for work, can’t believe she was able to get me one so quickly. I thought because of the anniversary there would be a lot more bags coming but seems is not the case.

Would the owner of a Bolide 1923 30 kindly measure the handle drop (top of bag to underside of handle) and strap width for me? I contemplate adding one to my wishlist, but need to get a better idea of the bag in relation to my body size. My store unfortunately does not have any larger Bolide to test the look and feel. so I went today into the boutique and although I liked it I didn’t love it and decided not to take it. I love the bolide so will for sure want one but don’t like PHW and I don’t love clemence in larger bags, prefer smoother leathers. It wasn’t easy to say no but my SA totally understood. Picked up a few other items

Anyone knows if we can walk into Hermes boutique to buy a bolide on one's own specification like , "bolide 27, chevre leather, Goldhardware, gold colour"? Or is there an unspoken pre spend on this non quota bag? Just to add I do not have profile with Hermes, yet. Thanks

as with everything H, it depends on which store you go to. The larger stores would probably have a few Bolide 27 in stock that a walk in client could buy and you may be able to choose from what they have in stock. But if you are expecting them to bring in a bag to meet your exact specs with no prior relationship with that store, I seriously doubt any SA would do that.

Thanks for sharing n it's very helpful think I will muster up to try my "luck" with a trip one day . Guess if a certain store carries limited stocks, there will be a need to "ration"
