Confessions of a pack rat:

Here is my Bolide 31 Rouge H Epsom and a quick W-I-M-B for those wondering. This is my first time taking my Bolide on a plane for travel which makes a huge difference in how it’s packed.

Samorga organizer—I think I ordered what would fit for a Kelly 28...still kind of big but it worked.

EDIT: After I took the photos, I remembered my over the ear headphones (cans) and Maui Jim sunglasses which pretty much rendered the Bolide a “tote”. But that’s okay! I had a Longchamp folded up in my carry-on. What can I say? I need stuff! I will probably try to find a smaller case to replace the Longchamp...perhaps the mini Pochette. Undecided.

Thanks for sharing. So helpful. Waiting on my 31 to arrive and wondering what it’ll be like for travel and daily use since this is honestly much of what I tend to ”pack” like for a day minus the camera. Great post!

Love seeing photos of “bags at work” I will also bring something pretty to work even if it’s just for me to glance over at once in awhile and smile. The days are long enough. Sometimes you just need a little extra cheer.

I just want to share my recent purchase. I told my SA I wanted to get a black bolide 25 with ghw, and she answered my prayer. Tye bag is so cute and adorable. The strap is ok to wear on my shoulder, but definitely short to wear crossbody. I am about 170cm, so I bought a longer strap to wear cross body. While I was at the store, bought a rodeo too. Love the sesame color, so easy to match any bag.

Hi could I ask if you managed to get a longer strap already and what length did you buy? I just scored a bolide 25cm too and wanna wear it crossbody! Pity the original strap doesn’t accommodate for crossbody wearing

So happy to finally join the bolide club! I really wanted a mini bolide in pink but got offered the option of bolide 25 ghw in black or capucine instead. Was quite torn but decided on the capucine at the end. The gold hardware on it looks absolutely stunning and I can’t wait to bring it out to take some nice pictures

Sharing a pic of my Bolide 31 in Trench. H really does make gorgeous neutrals. At the time I had serious cravings for a Gris Tourterelle Birkin, and the Universe was not responding. Trench is a very versatile, especially if you have a lot of blue in your wardrobe....... What neutrals do you reach for most often?

Ooh so pretty. I had this exact one in my clutches and let it go. I was worried it would get too dirty (or show dirt). My wardrobe is mostly neutrals. I don’t really do color and have never owned a bag w color or even thought of same until I got in to Hermès and saw the beautiful colors. Now I’ve been thinking of adding one (one ) but would like to get a few neutrals first. Went for the bolide 31 in Sesame instead of the Trench as it still blended w all my neutral clothing items but was a bit brighter and it didn’t seem like I had to worry so much about dirt? Can Trench owners weigh in on how this color wears? Can’t get this beauty out of my mind…

My SA offered me a bolide 27 in Noir with GHW weeks ago. I didn’t take it because I have the other one in the same size in RJ with PHW. The most important reason is I’m on the Ban island now. I spent too much in Paris in February. I only allow myself to buy one bag in one year. Though I’m so sad that I have to let it go, I’d like to share the photo of this beauty with lovely tpfers. The photos were sent by my SA.

The combination is so perfect!!!

I like this “one bag in one year” rule. Too often I drift around just looking for what I “need” and get in to trouble this way be it on the preloved market, brand websites or through a CA. Having a rule that helps me focus is such a great idea and makes that purchase so much more special.

Sesame would be perfect for your neutral wardrobe. I guess if you don’t do much colour it would be nice to start with something less shocking. Maybe blues?

Aw nerts. This place is so enabling! I already have my eye on a couple of preloved blue ones I love the blues in the blue jean type hues. Glad to hear I’m on the right track though and so excited to get my Sesame. It’s my 1st (Bolide and Hermès. First everything!)

TPF members who show their bags being used inspire me not to fear reeeeeeallllly using my bags. Thank you for the photos—my Bolide will probably take a trip with me now that I see how useful it can be.

I appreciate your comment. For the past two years, I’ve had a one bag a year rule. I’ve found it liberating. I, too, like to peruse the resell and brand sites. My one bag rule keeps me honest (with myself) about how much I want a bag I see. It also allows me to spend more for what I want instead of buying multiple bags that sit on a shelf for me to ogle. So far so good.

I just purchased this pre-loved Bolide 27 from year 1995 in box leather, colour Bleu Marine. This is also my first box leather, I like it so much.

Up until recently, I was a quiet reader of this thread. All the advice and photos you‘ve all shared has helped me to decide and finally pull the trigger on ‚my‘ vintage Bollide.
She is a 37 rigide in Noir Ardennes leather from 1993 (!) and is in very good condition considering her age.
I am super happy to have her and use her as my ‚under the radar‘ work bag. She just about fits A4 paper and is so light and structured.
Thanks again for everyone who contributed to this thread and to @bababebi who authenticated her in record time.
