I just purchased this pre-loved Bolide 27 from year 1995 in box leather, colour Bleu Marine. This is also my first box leather, I like it so much.

A comparison photo of my workhorse 35 and classic cute 27:heart:

I think you have a perfect pair, candyapple15! I love both your slouchy 35, and you darling, structured 27. And the 27 being box in such a beautiful color, lucky find! I've loved the bolide for so long, and I think I've settled on the 27 as being the best size for me. Now to actually find one! Thanks for sharing. :flowers:

Hi could I ask if you managed to get a longer strap already and what length did you buy? I just scored a bolide 25cm too and wanna wear it crossbody! Pity the original strap doesn’t accommodate for crossbody wearing
I actually got an after market strap instead because even the longest strap length from Hermes was too short for me to wear crossed body. The strap I got was 130cm and it was perfect for me.
The Hermes strap may be a good length for you.

Thank you @etoile de mer, I love bolide too, in all sizes. I think each size in different leather give different aesthetic. I am new to box leather and love it at the first sight. I am a happy girl

I like this “one bag in one year” rule. Too often I drift around just looking for what I “need” and get in to trouble this way be it on the preloved market, brand websites or through a CA. Having a rule that helps me focus is such a great idea and makes that purchase so much more special.
You got my idea. Due to this rule, I love every bag I bought. Though I broke it this year, I got a mini bolide bag in March and later in the summer, I was lucky to have a chance for an offer of a b25 bag. This is too hard to say no. Maybe this is my ultimate dream bag? After I got it, I seldom follow things about Hermes now.:P

I have a bolide 31 and 27, do I need the 25? Really love bolides!
I find the main difference between the Bolide 25 and 27 is the height of the handles. For crossbody wear, Bolide 25 is much better as the handles are shorter and doesn't get in the way. However, I've found the taller handles of the Bolide 27 to be handy when trying to unzip my bag on my arms. HTH.

Love the insights! I like the clean lines of 25 as well.. maybe when I chance upon one that makes my heart skip a beat!

The design of Bolide 25 is based on the newer version - Bolide 1923 - hence the shorter handles and cleaner lines as compared to the Bolide 27 which is based on the original design. You see the latter in the Bolide 31. I love another version of the Bolide 1923, which is the Web Bolide 1923, as it has an external front slit pocket. The downside to this is that it doesn't come with a strap.

❤️ If they did the Web Bolide again (with strap) I would snap it up in a heartbeat!

Me too! I was obsessing about this a few days ago and was thinking of two options: getting one in the (thin) pre-loved market and have it "modified" or getting one as a Horizon bag. The former means I cannot ever send it to H spa and the latter means $$$$$$ (but a bespoke bag for me).

The 1923 models are based on the original design (from the year 1923) - shorter handles, squarer shape. The 27cm size has handles that are out of proportion.

Can't wait to see what new iterations are trotted out for the century anniversary of the bag!
