Scarves Ode to Silk GM Scarves/Shawls

wow, i never gave this silk a second look but it looks amazing tied!! so beautiful..
Thanks chincac! I think many people were put off by the whole concept of the Au Bloc series (you know how we can get when H dares to try something new, LOL!) but I thought some of the soft cws were perfect with the effect of bloc printing; they seemed to be very in sync with what bloc printing is all about (as I understand it anyway). This cw was my favorite but there were a few others that caught my fancy.

yes i know what you mean. i love the borders on this one. when i buy H silks, it's the borders and colours that i care about because that's the bit that shows the most when it's tied.

I agree, the borders are a key element. I was smitten at first sight with this, it was just a question of which cw would win out. I like the Pegasus Au Bloc series as well, but I find I prefer the silk plume and I think the Pegasus versions are in the heavier twill weight silk. (I have to keep reminding myself that I prefer the plume; I bought a Tattoo 140 recently because I just couldn't resist it  :giggle: )

I am so in love with this print and this colourway is so pretty.

Le Pégase d'Hermès au Bloc, cw 3, it was so difficult to choose, but I think this one hits all the right notes. Wearing it yesterday in a biting easterly wind it kept me much warmer, I think this size and weight of silk is very useful.View attachment 4011263

Hi there,

Does anybody own the Maitre de la foret silk GM scarf with the blue border?
Is it a silk plume (thinner summer silk) or the thick silk twill?

I like the blue and red tones, but am unsure of all the yellow. (olive tones work great on me, lime and lemon tones not so much...)
Some Mod shots or pics in natural light would be greatly appreciated!

I would have to order online, never had the chance to see it at the store (far away, can not visit often, mostly poor stock on GMs...)
I tried the forum search but only found the regular sized ones...

Hi, Just have a question. I saw the Jardin Lettre in the boutique yesterday. It made of thinner silk. My SA said that it is a summer version. Do you have any experience with this version? Could you share your thoughts, please? Thank you

I had to go to SA and ask for this. He said it’s coming. Thanks for the inspiration.

How much do you find your 140 silk shawl shine after a while? I'm a guy and I have a 140 cashmere shawl but I'm looking to purchase a 140 silk. Cashmere/silk blend just snag too much especially when I'm traveling. I'm nervous that a 140 silk shawl would be too shiny/feminine for my taste.
