Barenia lovers, anyone has a Barenia that is gold or silver stamped? I found a nice lovely darling which I was quite convinced it's Barenia until I saw its stamp isn't the usual blind one. I remember earlier discussions one or two people had Barenia bags like this.

It's been awhile since I've worn my alma, so I'm trying to put her back into rotation. I would love to have a wallet or coin purse out of barenia.

Hi Jadeite, could the leather be veau butler in fauve? I was in a similar situation until I saw the coloured stamp of the bag and the SA told me it wasn't what I thought it was. :sweatdrop:

I ordered a barenia strap for my Kelly a couple of years ago. It arrived with a foil stamp. The SM assured me it was barenia, and the receipt and Hermes paper reference tag both listed it as barenia. It was also a perfect match for my barenia bag. Even though I was initially thrown by the stamp, I had to conclude that the strap is indeed barenia! :p

That being said, there are other leathers that look like barenia- vache natural with a full patina comes to mind.

Monceu thanks for the inputs , from what you said it seems both Barenia and vache natural is a possibility. The bag I saw and touch Is full patina and incredibly buttery but doesn't have the Barenia fragrance. It's really perplexing me I can't get it out of my mind. Lol

Hmm curiouser and curiouser. Especially when it doesn't have the barenia scent. Gold swift? Then again, I have barenia that no longer smells like barenia.
Methinks you should buy the bag and bring it for a chat with the craftsperson at Liat. :laugh:
