I dropped off some Nordstrom returns to my post office 6 days ago and Newgistics Smart Label still has not picked up the packages at my post office. I waited in a long line for 30 minutes to get a scanned receipt for my returns and the post office said they have notified Newgistics 3 days ago that they have 5 huge crates of packages to be picked up by them, but they still have not picked them up!!!

My PO said that those companies like Newgistics only come like once a week.

My returns were received 4/14 and 4/20 and still no refund. However, the items in the same sizes I returned are showing as back in stock on the website!!! A Jcrew return delivered 4/14 similarly hasn’t been refunded yet.

On the other hand, my Shopbop return was refunded within a few days of delivery to their warehouse.

Hey everyone. I have a Nordstrom purchase that I'd like to return. I'm on the fence about returning it by mail, because I'm afraid it'll take a long time (weeks, months) to get refunded, given the pandemic. It's a large purchase for me ($240), so the delay is significant. I could just wait until post-pandemic to return, instead of dealing with the uncertainty of having a return kind of sitting in their warehouse.

So, does anyone have any recent (i.e., within two week) experience returning stuff to Nordstrom.com? Have you gotten your refunds in a timely manner?

(I should note, I'm not judging Nordstrom or any other retailer for delays. These are uncertain times, and they should be prioritizing the health and safety of their staff above all else. I'm happy to have a delay if it means fewer people working or working in safer, more socially distanced situations.)

Thank you in advanced!
I just stumbled across this thread, but I am in Canada and because Canada Post has been unable to deliver returns due to the stores being closed, they are holding the packages. Everyone I spoke to at Nordstrom said they are working with CP to find a solution but until then, Nordstrom is issuing refunds for any packages that they can see were attempted delivery back to the store through CP tracking after 14 business days. You just have to give them a call with your order number and return tracking info and they will do it for you over the phone.

Hi Nordstrom sent shoes to me from a store. They were the wrong version. Problem is no receipt nor shipping label and appeared to be a floor model. Like a person went up to the floor grabbed shoes threw in a box. These are $950 shoes. I understand that there are issues with the virus, however they should stop selling if they can’t handle customer service. 3 nights in a row, I waited on line for 3 hours (total 9 hours) for customer service to pick up. I have written emails with no response. There are no stores to return item to. Customer service is non existent. 10 more days to return. Do not sell if you cannot handle or do not man customer service!

I just dropped off my return at the post office on 4/11. Let's see how long this takes!

Dropped off my return on 4/11.
It was picked up by Newgistics on 4/16.
It was supposed to be delivered by Newgistics to Nordstrom on 4/20, but it has been stuck "In Transit" since 4/19. It's currently 4/25, so I'm not very hopeful.
At the very least, I paid using a gift card, so my refund, whenever they get the item should be quicker than if I used a credit card.

Oof that's so frustrating! I'd be so scared to return almost $1k in merchandise! Have you tried their Twitter? You might have some chance of getting a response there?

I think lesson of the day is... be wary about buying items from Nordstrom if you'd be seriously inconvenienced/in a financial pinch if you can't return quickly. Or any online store really. I have a size-able and growing bundle of Nordstrom returns in my house to bring back to the store once everything opens up again... may take months but at least no mail anxiety. :/

This is me exactly!! My Nordstrom return pile is getting large...but I'm scared to mail them so will have to wait until the stores open.
