I am a very loyal Nordstrom shopper and do about 90% of my shopping with them (quite a lot). Sometimes I've bought things that I believe will get worn, only to find later that they've sat in my closet, unworn with tags on. Some of these items are from over a year ago, all are in perfect condition but not in season anymore. I know that given their generous return policy they will take them back, but I don't want to abuse their return policy and get on their "black" list. Do you think it's appropriate to bring items back after this amount of time, or should I just suck it up and view it as a loss?
Thanks very much.
Personally I wouldn't return something over a year because my SAs know me lol and I get good perks so I don't want to get on Nordstroms' bad side... I'd prefer to sell it or give it to someone or donate it to charity.
I think I heard that after one year the commission is no longer lost as a result of a return. Does anyone (Nordstrom employee?) know about this? And you have to wonder, does the commission that the SA earns get deducted
after an item is returned after a period of a year??
If that is the case, I would not return an item especially if I am getting "perks"...
The recipient is the one who is charged when making a purchase so you wouldn't be charged for a return.I need to return a pair of shoes to Nordstrom from Australia. Does anyone here know if ill be charged any taxes or duties on returning something to the store in Seattle? The shoes cost around $800.
I think I'll try to sell a few things and hopefully not feel the need to return anything. From now on I'm going to think very carefully about potential purchases and how much use they'll get.
