Thanks. After exchanging it, did the new one wear off as well?

I bought the Marc by Marc Jacobs rose gold Henry watch, which looks very similar to the MK rose gold watches, and haven't had any issues with the rose gold wearing off. I've heard no issues with the MbMJ rose golds, whereas there have been issues with the MK.

I bought the entire rosé gold and diamond Ippolita collection a few years back, when first launched, bangles, earrings, rings, close to $10k and to my horror, the ring had completely gone from rose gold to NOT a HINT of rose within 60 days... I returned every last piece to Neimans... I love rose gold, but scared off after that fiasco... Shame on Ippolita!!

Hi, I was wondering if you could return items with the tag ripped off. I received a top just yesterday in the mail, ripped the tag off thinking I would keep it, and changed my mind today. I haven't worn it and I still have the tag and the packing slip...would this be for store credit only or would I be able to get a refund?

I would think you would be just fine for a return :)

I'm so glad I came across your post... I was really close to buying that collection recently and was having serious seconds thoughts about it so I didn't do it. I love rose gold and it compliments my complexion really well but I just can't invest in it with all the horror stories I've read/heard. I certainly would have expected better from Ippolita.

Ok, I am interested in a Rose Gold watch and I want to buy it from Nordstrom but I'm hesitating on purchasing the watch because I have read reviews on the website and random websites online that the rose gold plating wears off after a few months. It has happened to some but for some people, the rose gold plating never has worn off. I'm just wondering, if the rose gold plating does wear off, can I exchange it for a new one? What if it wears off in a few years? Will I just have to live with it or can I still exchange it? I have asked these questions on live chat and have gotten slightly different answers so maybe one of your can help me out. Never shopped at Nordstroms before so I'm not familiar with their return or exchange policy...thanks

With all the feedback on here and online I wouldn't chance it.

A few years ago, I bought a pair of Ugg boots at Nordstrom and within 3 months, the toe ripped. I took them back to Nordstrom and they said they would not take them back because they had been worn. I said "I can't understand why a boot would rip like this after 3 months" and the SA said "they are a fashion boot and not designed to be worn in the snow". But they had not been worn in the snow! I went to the store manager and he said it was the department magager's discretion and denied the return. I was disappointed because Ugg wouldn't help me either.

Fast forward to two weeks ago. I bought a pair of Stuart Weitzman flats with a rubber sole two weeks ago and wore them around the house for two days just in case they didn't work out and decided they were too small around my big toe. I took them back to a different Nordstrom from my Ugg boots and the SA said they had been worn and would not take them back. The rubber on the bottom bad some light scratching on them but they never went outside of my house. This time, I went back to the store manager and he told me the exact same thing as the prior store manager had told me a few years ago, except this time he issued me a return as a courtesy.

Nordstrom seems liberal on their other returns. Do I just have bad luck with their shoes? Has anyone else had a similar experience?

This is really odd! My Nordstrom (Pittsburgh) never does this. I had a pair of Sperrys that were the wrong size, wore them around the house, and returned them no problem. Less than a year ago, I saw a woman come in with a bag of shoes that had been very obviously worn and abused. She didn't have receipts and was making up stories (I only wore these one time! Meanwhile, they had toe marks on the bed of the sandals) and was guessing prices-- and they returned every last one! I was appalled and shocked by their Customer Service in this case. Maybe your shoe manager just isn't the best? I know several of mine. Maybe try returning in a different department next time? I know all departments can take all returns or try the customer service desk.

I've never had this issue either! They usually take things back no questions asked.

I don't have this issue in other departments either. The Ugg situation happened at my Troy, MI store and the Stuart W. happened at my ******* Township, MI store. So it was two different SA and two different managers.

The thing is, I have also seen women bringing in visibly worn shoes and returned them and been shocked when Nordstrom took them back! I didn't want to make a scene or seem rude, which is why I went directly to the store manager upstairs. The manager reiterated that the Shoe Dept. manager has discretion but the general policy is that they do not accept worn shoes.

The other surprising thing was that I purchased these shoes during a personal shopping day and my sales girl specifically said "if these end up hurting your toes, just bring them back" but she is on vacation until after Thanksgiving.

I am guessing from your replies that maybe these stores have had abuse in the shoe return area and maybe revised their policies? or maybe I have just had bad luck with sales associates! :rain:

umm...ive talked with shoe sa's and have been told that they get in a lot of trouble if they refuse a shoe return...go to another state?

I'm really shocked to hear Nordstroms wouldn't take the shoes back! I've talked to customer service at the Honolulu store and she said not only will they take back worn shoes but they take back clothes that have been worn or washed as well! They want the customer to be completely happy with their purchase! Try going directly to customer service to do your returns.

I would just like to reiterate that Nordstrom will NOT take back worn Uggs. Period. They will also not take back Uggs without a receipt or the sticker attached to the box. You may randomly find a SA that will do it for you but just know you will 99% of the time be refused. This is customary.
