A few years ago, I bought a pair of Ugg boots at
Nordstrom and within 3 months, the toe ripped. I took them back to
Nordstrom and they said they would not take them back because they had been worn. I said "I can't understand why a boot would rip like this after 3 months" and the SA said "they are a fashion boot and not designed to be worn in the snow". But they had not been worn in the snow! I went to the store manager and he said it was the department magager's discretion and denied the return. I was disappointed because Ugg wouldn't help me either.
Fast forward to two weeks ago. I bought a pair of Stuart Weitzman flats with a rubber sole two weeks ago and wore them around the house for two days just in case they didn't work out and decided they were too small around my big toe. I took them back to a different Nordstrom from my Ugg boots and the SA said they had been worn and would not take them back. The rubber on the bottom bad some light scratching on them but they never went outside of my house. This time, I went back to the store manager and he told me the exact same thing as the prior store manager had told me a few years ago, except this time he issued me a return as a courtesy.
Nordstrom seems liberal on their other returns. Do I just have bad luck with their shoes? Has anyone else had a similar experience?
