It has only been 5 days? I wouldn't worry. They can sit in one location for several days at a time. Did you insure it, though? It's not expensive to insure and seems like a good idea for a Chanel clutch.

renza said:2-3 weeks for USPS Priority shipping? That's not correct at all. I have never had priority going across country take more than 4 days. A prepaid priority label should also have a delivery confirmation number that works basically like tracking, although USPS isn't great about scanning items consistently. Are you sure that it wasn't one of those "smartmail" USPS labels that are the slowest shipping speed possible? Or perhaps she meant that it would take that long for the refund to be processed?
Anyways, I am sure your item will make it to its destination safely. I sell, buy, and return all the time using USPS and have never had a package go missing.![]()

I know nordstrom SAs work on commission. What happens to the SA's commission if you buy something in-store, and then later either:
1. return it
or
2. exchange it for another size, which has to be ordered.
Curious because I had to exchange a pair of shoes today for a bigger size, and the SA who processed my exchange was the same SA that I had purchased the shoes from, and the SA kept on trying to offer to stretch the shoe for me which I did not want (I knew they weren't going to fit properly even if you stretched them). Kinda felt like the SA was giving me a hard time about the store not having the size in-stock and having to order it online.

She said I could try and have it re-altered, but I'm not sure how'd it work since the dress is too short and I'm scared of how unstitching it would affect the fabric...
Glad to see they were so accommodating for you though! Perhaps the policy differs at different stores? :/ I'm a little too embarrassed to go back and try again lol
cantsaywho said:Hello ladies!
I recently purchased a darling dress at Nordies and had it altered there (shorter hemline and closing of pockets). I just picked up the dress yesterday and after trying it on at home... Let's just say I'm really not happy with the way the alterations turned out. I was wondering what options I have. Does Nordstrom allow returns or exchanges on altered items? I was thinking of perhaps exchanging for an unaltered dress and having it redone by my usual tailor, but I'm not sure if they'll even allow me to return/exchange?
TIA!
