Nordstrom Return Policy Thread!!

Are you serious? You wore them! It doesn't matter that they "practically look unworn." They are NOT unworn and shouldn't be returned.

If you don't want them, list them on ebay or bonz and sell them as "used." if they were worn, even for 1/2 hour, they aren't new and shouldn't be listed as such and shouldn't be returned.

How would you feel if you bought a pair of Uggs and they'd been worn and returned? (And especially disgusting is the fact that Ugg recommends you wear their boots without socks. Eww!)

For one that wouldn't happen because they wouldn't put it back on the sales floor and two, you clearly haven't heard anything about their return policy. Thanks for your input but you could've done without the attitude.

There's no attitude! I'm truly shocked that you'd even consider returning a 5-year old item that you USED(!) and think it's okay.

Nordstrom's has a liberal return policy for new and unused items with a receipt of return label. They don't expect buyers to return items that are used!

I agree. Thats abusing the policy i dont understand these people that keep asking return questions that can be answered with common sense. Returning them after 5 yrs. Thats ridiculous you had 5 years! Theres no reason for you to say you couldnt return them in that timespan. I just dont understand why people keep trying to abuse nordstroms return policy.

No, they won't put it back on the sales floor. So what do you think Nordstrom should do with your old pair of 2x worn Uggs from 5 years ago that you want to return today? Do you honestly think you deserve a store credit or money back????? Aren't you ashamed to even ask that question?

I don't see that on their return policy page (just saying) but people have made it seem like it was okay (people in real life and some from previous posts) to return whatever whenever but I guess I'm not going to try to anymore. I do feel bad but I was contemplating because I just hate the shoes so much that I wanted what I could get back from it. And I have no idea why I never returned them, even a year later (not that it would be okay even a year later to return USED shoes but it just didn't cross my mind) when I really didn't wear them. Maybe I thought I would.

This is what you said in your post: "I have uggs that I wore a couple of times when I first got it and stopped wearing because it just didn't work with my pants."

What is it about wearing "a couple of times" that = "really didn't wear them?"

You may hate them but authentic Uggs do well on ebay or Bonanza, especially if they're in good condition. That's one place where you can unload used items honestly (as long as you disclose it.)

Show the insides and soles to demonstrate who clean and unscuffed they are and that you're telling the truth when you say that they're in great condition.

I think we all have stuff in our closet that we meant to return, but just never got around to doing. In those situations, you just have to write it off as lesson learned. Here, where it's clear that you've worn them beyond just "trying them on" (and people here will disagree as to whether "trying" something on counts as "wearing" the item, but whatever), I think you're better off using a consignment shop to sell them, or donating them and taking the tax write-off. You are correct in that you will not get the full purchase price that you paid 5 years ago, but your shoes are also no longer worth what they were 5 years ago (due to wear, styles changing, time-value of money, etc.)

Just stumbled upon this thread. I bought a pair of Reva's, wore them to class once or twice and they were HORRIBLY UNCOMFORTABLE. I didn't have the box or the receipt. I emailed Nordstrom, TOLD them I had worn them, and they took them back no questions asked.

I did this with a pair of Stuart weitzman, within a week of purchasing. They took them back. But it was a week, not 5 years later like an earlier post.
