Like I said I didn't know. I buy all my coach bags at coach store or macy's. I thought NordstrOm carries coach bag, that's why I asked such question.

They do carry coach but dont you find it wrong to even think about returning it to nordstrom when they didnt sell it to you?! Just cause its convienent for you doesnt mean its the right way to go about it. Sorry to say but that was a very idiotic question.

It is wrong. That being said, my Dior sunglasss broke while shopping in Nordstroms. I went to buy some new ones and they fixed them no problem and even offered to keep fixing them even when I said I didn't buy them from Nordstroms.

I think to purposely take advantage of a good return policy and customer service ruins it for others when the store stops or changes due to do much fraud.

I agree with you on that. Nordstrom was kind enough to help you fix your glasses but you didnt try to take advantage of them her question shows shes trying to take advantage of their return policy and thats not cool.

why don't you call coach?

i remember buying a louis vuitton bag years ago as a gift. it ended up not working out so i emailed the closest louis vuitton store (at the time, more than 500 miles away) and they said i could make a return through the mail. so i did that.

why don't you try that?

Does anyone know if Nordstroms will return an item without a receipt or return authorization sticker? I just received a Rebecca Minkoff mini Mac for my birthday, but I'd like to exchange it for a larger bag since i already own a mini Mac. I don't have a receipt though, and I don't want to hurt my sister in law's feelings by asking her for it. I'm almost positive that she purchased it from Nordstrom since it is the only store in our area that carries that brand. Do you think they would let me exchange it for something else? This would be my first time returning something to Nordstroms.

You would have to have some sort of proof that it was bought in their store otherwise they won't take it.

If they currently carry the bag you want to return, they would likely let you exchange it. Esp because it was a gift and bc you want to exchange it for something bigger...more $$ for them.

They cantake it back. There might a proof of purchase in your sister in laws purchase history. And if they cant find it they will probably still return it for you.

I have uggs that I wore a couple of times when I first got it and stopped wearing because it just didn't work with my pants. They practically look unworn! The thing is that it's from 2007 :shucks: I know... it was ages ago and I don't know why I didn't return it then! The sticker is still on the underside of the box but it was from so long ago, would they really like it back? I am a bit ashamed but I don't want to be embarrassed if they turn me away. Would it be less embarrassing if I asked for store credit instead?

I tried to bring these to a consignment store but they said the wouldn't take it because of some product recall but I googled it and found nothing... maybe the girl didn't know what she was talking about.

Are you serious? You wore them! It doesn't matter that they "practically look unworn." They are NOT unworn and shouldn't be returned.

If you don't want them, list them on ebay or bonz and sell them as "used." if they were worn, even for 1/2 hour, they aren't new and shouldn't be listed as such and shouldn't be returned.

How would you feel if you bought a pair of Uggs and they'd been worn and returned? (And especially disgusting is the fact that Ugg recommends you wear their boots without socks. Eww!)
