I believe they will exchange it...I'm not sure about returning. My friend told me that they accepted an exchange for a pair of shoes that a lady purchased in 2004, after 7 years -_- They were all dirty and used & they still accepted them.

That's just wrong. People who abuse return policies by returning things they bought a year or more ago or things they wore for awhile are just ick.

Nordstrom does have an extremely liberal exchange policy. I recently bought a pair of like-new Chanel flip flops shoes that someone had recently returned. The original receipt was in the box -- they were first purchased in 2008! I bought them at a HUGE discount, so I'm not complaining! :D

Hello My lovely PFers! Now, I shop at Nordstroms from time to time usually for shoes and handbags but I've never needed to return/exchange anything until now.

I bought a pair of steve madden Candence boots in Cognac leather at full price about a year ago from Nordstroms and I absolutely love them! I never wear them out in the rain or get them wet since I want to protect the leather, however I recently noticed that my boots were different colors. My Left boot is a significantly darker shade of brown than the right one and I have no idea why! They looked exactly the same when I first bought them and I don't expose one boot to different conditions than the other since I wear them at the same time (obviously). So now I don't know what to do. I don't wear them anymore because it just looks embarrassing! I don't have the receipt anymore and the boots are in good condition. It's just that they're different colors!! I mean, I've seen lots of people with the same boots I have and some people have darker pairs and some have lighter pairs- but both feet actually match. Did I just get a bad batch?!

Soooo...do you ladies think Nordstroms will let me exchange them for a new pair of the same boots even though I dont have the receipt anymore and I've worn them?? I really don't wana spend another $100 on the exact same boots!

any advice would be appreciated!! Thankss!

Nordstrom takes EVERYTHING back. There was an article about a lady trying to return a homemade dress and she swore that she bought it there. They gave her the money for the dress...people like that spoil it for everyone who is honest!

I always feel bad about returning stuff that doesn't work out for me to Nordstrom. (I buy online and can't always tell if something is going to work out or not.) I feel like I need to keep SOME of the stuff I buy from them otherwise they'll get mad at me for all my returns. That being said, I've never had problems with them so I would say go for it!

I don't think you'll have a problem. A few years ago I had a pair of Uggs that started letting water from melting snow in the front where the sole met the boot. I only had them for a year and they exchanged them for a new pair without any problems. Nordstrom has amazing CS when it comes to returns.
