**NORDSTROM Price Match Discussion Thread**

I've done several price matches and I've never had a problem. The last one was just a few days ago.

I sent the rep (Denise P) the link to the sale item, she asked for the Nordstrom ID number (which I looked up in another tab) and she asked if I'd like for her to place the order for me in the chat. I sent her my billing/shipping address & credit card details, and she gave me an order number and the total price after tax. About 5 minutes after placing the order, I received email confirmation.

I've never been given a hard time about price matching. I just did it the other day. I just talked to a rep via livechat, gave her the order number and linked her to the site where it was cheaper. She did say that I was supposed to do the price adjustment the day of the order or something like that, but she adjusted it very quickly.

Tonight was my first experience with price matching on Nordstrom. I had never been aware that they could do that and was quite excited with it. At first I kept being matched with agents who weren't so helpful, but then I got matched with a great agent who gave me a price match even though the item wasn't even available anymore on the site i matched it to. I was surprised because I thought the whole point of price matching was so I would buy the item from Nordstrom instead of somewhere else, but it wouldn't have even been possible to get it from the other place. Anyway, a $348 bag was reduced to $164 and I was quite pleased. I just needed to let out all of this excitement somewhere. Yipee!

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I recently bought some UGG's from Nordstrom and got a price match. I would like to get a different color. Would it be bad if I exchange them without a receipt. I'm afraid they will not re-honor my price match from what I got online.

That's not true. Nordies will honor the PM even if you have to exchange for another. I bought a pair of boots PMed by Nordies and asked the CS rep on the phone and she said explicitly that if for some reason they don't work out I can exchange for another and the PM price will be honored. Sure enough they sent me the wrong boots. All I had to do was call Nordies CS up and they ordered me another pair. The CS rep did note the PM price without my asking. Of course they had to charge my card again but I was going to drop the first pair off at Nordies in the mall anyways so no harm done..just had to wait again. They didn't carry my size in the store otherwise I would rather have done the exchange there.

does anyone know if you exchange a price matched item for another item, ex. one pair of boots for another more expensive one of the same brand, does Nordstrom give you credit for the value of the item or the price that it was price matched at?
