**NORDSTROM Price Match Discussion Thread**

I've had one livechat SA place the order for me over the livechat IM and another one that called me directly to complete my order. Some of the SAs are pissy about doing price matching so if one is willing to do it for you I suggest getting it done right then (instead of livechatting again with another SA)
 
From what I understood, the SA #1 on LiveChat just wanted me to call the general Nordstrom number to place my order but being that it was just 5am I didn't want to risk waking up my boyfriend. So SA#1 agreed the the price match was valid but she was simply passing me off instead of actually giving me a price match, which I found was very odd.

Only option 2 was viable: place order online and then come back on LiveChat to have SA #2 perform a price adjustment. These were the only options I was given.

why not just go to another room if you didn't want to wake him?

I interpreted what you typed in your original post as such. Why wouldn't she just PM it for you at the time? Maybe they do lose commison..:shrugs:
 
You can complete the online order in a different screen, then go back to the live chat window and give order number which they can do the adjustment right then. Or ask the SA to call you to complete the order. Honestly, you take a risk going back later. If someone offers you a PM, don't hesitate. Go in the bathroom to take the call.

that's what I'm saying, especially since PMing at Nordies can be hit or miss...

1st SA didn't offer to price match the product for me. She said I could either call the general Nordstrom number or place the order online and get back on LiveChat with another SA.

This is what I thought the process was going to be like but she said flat out to contact another SA and provide them with the Dillards link.
 
^ That's just silly. Sounds like the SA was just giving you a hard time or just didn't want to complete the order. There's no reason that the first SA just couldn't complete the order in live chat. I've done this many times. I'm not sure why she said this but it's not normal.

It definitely was a silly situation. It's great to finally know a price match should take place.
