Tell me if I’m being irrational- I just went to Nordstrom to check the stuff out, I’m well aware I’m not ‘icon’ but I thought I could look. Well I was told I couldn’t even pick up a shoe to look at the price yet. The stuff is out in plain view. I’m beyond insulted. Is it legal to do that? I’ve shopped this sale since I was 16 and I’m 35 now. I honestly don’t know if I want to support this sale anymore.

I follow a few bloggers but like someone else pointed out it’s not for fashion advice it’s to see the material and item on a person, especially in videos I also appreciate when they offer if it runs TTS or small etc. That and what do you think holds me over till this thread every year. LOL! I love fashion and don’t too many like minded people around me.

I would’ve talked to the store manager. That’s ridiculous.

I have followed this thread from the beginning and did not locate the item or it’s number. Can someone help me find the leopard cami? I’m trying to round out my wish list and that caught my eye to grab for first round ;)

It's not illegal. I think they want to make the day only for Icon, so that's why you couldn't look. Along that same vein, though, other stores probably would not have cared. You can speak to the manager, but they'll probably tell you it's only for Icon as advertised.

It's roped off and only for certain status as advertised. While it would have been nice to look, I think their intention is to make this a special day for icon members and allow them access. If other people flood that area and begin checking prices, fit and so forth it sort of defeats the purpose of allowing some to shop ahead. So I don't think there is anything wrong with them asking you not to touch the items.

I would get that but I live in Minnesota. There’s absolutely no one here.

This video was just posted to YouTube. Looks like Anniversary Sale fashion show...has a ton of stuff we already know about, but also A LOT of designer stuff we haven’t seen. I’m so confused. I mean it’s got YSL, Valentino, Gucci items, accessories, shoes etc. I’m hoping these items will be part of the sale but really, who knows. There’s so much confusion this year.

I completely agree with you. But I will say, it's nice to see some bigger girls in there.

Just FYI...
Over the weekend I asked at least three Nordstrom employees at my local store if the store was opening early on the 12th. Every person looked confused and said no. However, I just visited my store’s page on Nordstrom.com, and what do you know? My store opens at 8am on Friday, listed under Special Store Hours. So I advise you all to check (and perhaps double check) with your store again, the employees may not know about the hours, or perhaps they have changed. I’ll be there at 8 on Friday, so hopefully the website is correct. If not, I’ll just be whimpering by the locked doors like a forgotten puppy
Sweet. I get my staples out Friday morning so I might swing by one of the two malls on my way to work.

I don’t think it’s irrational. Maybe their approach would be better. Both of the Nordstrom’s near me would never do that. They just wouldn’t let you buy or try on. It’s not that serious. Especially with all the “sneak peaks” from these bloggers today.
