Non-H Shoulder Strap Success

Just got the strap from Mautto today. It looks and feels good. I chose beige to match my argyle K. I know it's not an exact match but it doesn't bother me since I can hardly see the difference when worn.
Strap lenght works well for crossbody. I originally wanted an adjustable strap but Mautto couldn't make one with the hw I want (brushed nickle to match my brushed phw).

This strap is beautiful - the canvas actually looks more durable than H (my brand new Evelyne strap is already fuzzing a bit at the edges). I'm going to order a canvas strap for my bolide and maybe even for my BBK. Thanks so much for this find!!

Craftsmanship in terms of the stitching is not as good as Hermes obviously but it looks durable so far. The Chapman webbing is actually thicker/denser than the Hermes canvas straps I have.Here's a pic of the Mautto strap next to my argyle K. Not an exact match but it works for me as I will only use this strap when I travel with the K (need to be hands-free to chase my DD). The hw matches really well to my brushed phw.
The lenght is custom (43 inches) and with this strap the bag sits securely on my upper hip when worn crossbody.
The strap feels comfortable worn crossbody with a fairly heavy K35 and thin summer dress. I think it's more comfy than H leather strap (K strap) because the Mautto strap has a little more padding and slightly wider.
Thank you for the pics, huh! The strap looks great! The color is similar to your bag and no one will even notice. Apparently the first set of samples that Mautto mailed me got lost so they're sending me another one. My bag is rouge casaque so if their red doesn't quite match, I'll probably order a contrasting color like blue or black. Or may go with a canvas strap. I too want something for when I travel or for when I need my hands free. I find crossobody strap keeps the bag from swinging about.
You're very welcome! Good luck with yours. I think contrasting color works especially if you're wearing the bag casually. My K comes with amazon canvas strap which in my opinion is not the exact match (colorwise) to the fabric part of my bag, but somehow it works.
Canvas strap is little more comfy than leather, I think, but it's more casual. Unfortunately, H Amazon canvas strap is really short (much shorter than the leather strap that comes with similar sized bag).
I also have a RC K that I would like a crossbody strap for, preferably canvas because it's more comfortable. Mine is GHW, what is yours?

Mine is PHW. When I receive the samples, I'll take pics of the red samples against my bag so you can see the difference. I'm hoping one of them will work or I may try the Chapman webbing strap.
First of all I'd like to thank all the ladies here for the GREAT alternative suggestions for non-H shoulder strap! I recently acquired an Evelyne TGM that came with a non-adjustable custom order canvas strap for the Kelly bag (I guess the previous owner lost the original Evelyne strap). ANYWAY, long story short, the strap was actually too long for me. So I started doing some research and went to my local H boutique to inquire for a shoulder strap, needless to say, you all know how that went (i.e. 2 years wait, and it is $900-$1000 roughly just for the canvas strap).
I am just soooo glad I stumbled upon this thread, so after looking at all the options suggested here, I went for the chapman strap because I think it is the closest look to the Evelyn strap. The Evelyne strap is 2 inches wide, and believe it or not, I searched all over the internet (ebay, etsy, mautto etc), and Chapman is the ONLY place that offers 2 inches wide webbing straps. All the other places only offers up to 1.5 inches wide, and does not have the leather end pieces to the strap.
Here are some comparison pictures, I also think the Chapman webbing strap is of pretty good quality, sturdy and thick (felt even a tad thicker then the H strap), the adjustable buckle does not slide, in general I am very pleased with the order.
I only have a few small complains with Chapman, but nothing major that will stop me from ordering from them...thought I share here so if anyone wants to order you at least know what to expect:
I actually intended to custom order the strap with a different leather end color and silver hardware (to match the Evelyne) so I contacted their bespoke service first (listed on their website) twice, but no one ever got back to me. Not sure if they still take custom orders just for shoulder strap but it would be nice if someone at least write back and let me know, if that's the case. I was getting desperate for a strap so I went ahead and ordered their standard strap that comes with gold hardware. I am going to go ahead and try a different customer contact again, so will post back here if I ever get that custom order in!
When I order the strap I used their express paypal checkout, somehow when you use that to checkout, the order doesn't get processed (but you will be charged on your method of payment), I waited for 2 full weeks before I decided to contact them again to see what the status is, the customer service rep did get back to me within a day and told me somehow they didn't process my order even though it was paid, very apologetic and they shipped it out immediately after I contacted them. I received it within about a week after they shipped.
So, overall, not a terrible experience, for about $67 and a functional/decent looking shoulder strap I think I can live with that.
