That looks amazing - what's their process for colour matching? I desperately need about four Kelly straps!

They might be able to help with color matching but I didn't ask. I'd simply selected the leather color myself by calling up the leather color samples online from their website and comparing it to my purse - holding them both side by side. Also chose the width (0.75") and length of the strap, and type of buckles (Nickle #16). I also made sure they know what color thread to use and how I want it to be sewn to be as similar to the original as possible with the ends sewn up.

Glad to also know that the colors online matches very closely to how it would appear IRL.

The width I'd selected is a bit wider than the Kelly strap but more comfortable on the shoulder as I found my Kelly strap bit into my shoulder quite a lot if I load up the purse. Good luck if you do decide to customize it.

Which rouge is your Bolide? I am looking for Rouge H straps for a couple bags :) TIA!!

I believe mine is Rouge H (in Chamonix) as well just by looking at the color reference in this forum. I chose the Deep Cranberry leather color on mautto. They also have option to do it with a chain strap with leather - thought about it briefly but decided against it at the end.

This look perfectly match with your bolide and thanks for sharing with us! Would you mind sharing how much you need to pay for your custom strap? Thinking to get one done to match for my Kelly too! Thanks

It's inexpensive and depends on the length and hardware you choose. Most of them are less than $50. You can take a look at their site to give you an idea of the pricing. Shipping is a bit high but that's because it's express shipping and received it within a few days.

I would recommend selecting 35" or 40" in length. 30" would hit the the waist and 40" would hit the hips....if you want cross body, then it can be as long as you want it. Be very specific in your request when customizing. GL.

I recently bought a pre-loved Bolide but it did not come with a shoulder strap. Since I'm more of a shoulder carry person, I've been looking at solutions to this dilemma. If what I'm reading is correct, hermes straps are hard to come by, takes months if not years and provided that they will even consider accepting strap orders. So what's a girl gonna do to get a strap?

I searched the web for custom strap solutions and found one that I like. Was able to choose the color of leather, stitching, length and buckle. Very happy with the results - let me know what you think? Would you ever go for non-H strap to match your bags? Also, please do share your stories on strap solutions.

Your post is SO well timed for me! I've been trying to find a strap to match my vintage Kelly, but I wasn't having much luck.

Hmm, not sure how I feel about my bag being used for commercial advertising. Wonder if I could get a discount for life lol!

(I'll have to figure out how to put in some watermark to my pictures next time I post for TPF.)

On the other hand, will likely be ordering another mautto strap in a few months for a Kelly. The original H strap for my Kelly is quite worn and would rather have something more sturdy to wear.

They used your photo without your permission?

I wasn't asked whether they can use my bag pix. Guess if it's posted publicly it can be used elsewhere so need to figure out how to insert a watermark to make it specific to TPF use only in future.

You could mention it when you order the next one - they certainly owe you a discount! Especially considering the great match is because of your attention to detail - and well done on that!

Great thread :) I need to order a strap for my Courchevel Kelly 32 I just bought, and I know that it would take months, if not a year, to get a strap for it and I would have to leave the bag as well, since they don't make Courchevel anymore.

I am going to use my gold-Evelyne strap, but wanted to order a leather strap too.

So, for those of you who own Kelly 32s, what is the strap length of just the leather part, and then what is the strap length from tip of one buckle to the other buckle? Thanks so much.
