Cuyana just came out with shoulder straps. They have gold tone hardware. I ordered one for a vintage Barenia Trim and the color matches perfectly. It is a better length (longer) than the original one on the Trim. I am not really crazy to mix brands, but the Cuyana is very well made high quality leather and was very reasonable...$55....practically free compared to Hermes.

Wondering if we can reawaken this thread or if there’s a new one regarding Kelly’s and straps! I’m [emoji7][emoji7][emoji7] crazy over all the fendi straps specifically and am looking for inspiration with Kelly bags before I pull the trigger on one of those!! I would use it on a few bags but the Kelly is the main reason I’m looking into it... thanks

I paired a Prada strap (see post #413) with my K35. I still like the color contrast (and am going to get it out again if spring ever comes!) but the Prada strap length is a little long for me. I am reluctantly coming to the conclusion that, at least for the larger K's, using the bag as designed is better than trying to wear it cross-body.

I’ve read through all of the Hermes replacement strap threads and am wondering what the best option is for an all-leather strap that looks the closest to the actual Kelly strap.
I have a dark forest green Kelly with palladium hardware to match, which is a bit difficult.
Fendi detachable straps are too wide to blend in to the original look, and I think Prada would be the same. I had a Fendi strap you, but ended up selling it unused because the look was more clunky than I wanted and it was too long and too wide on me (I am 5’4” and very petite).
I know a non-Hermes custom strap is an option, but I’m just not sure about Mautto. I wish they had a clasp option that was similar to the Hermes strap shape. It also seems like their leather options are more smooth and I need pebbled (to match Togo) leather.
Are there any recommendations for a custom strap company that has an all-leather pebbled option?
For ready to buy brands, it seems like LV has the closest options to the Hermes strap (similar width at least) and has silver hardware as an option, and I suppose I can do dark brown or black instead of green.
Would you let me know if there are some other brands I should consider?

Your Prada strap is beautiful. If my Kelly had gold hardware and not palladium I would definitely give that one a try.

I am still waiting for an H strap. :amuse: Straps are more elusive than bags!

Last spring I got a pink Prada strap to jazz up my Etoupe K for crossbody wear, and this spring I decided to try something more neutral. I had been thinking about this ever since getting the pink one and finally decided to stop waiting until they were gone. :smile:

Hi Nicole,
Have you tried contacting Mautto? I’m not an expert, but recently, I contacted their customer service by email to ask about matching options for some of H bags. One of their customer service reps and I ended up having a long back-and-forth dialogue about various options. I sent her photos of my bags and examples of what I was looking for, and she emailed me back different hardware options. I found the dialogue about hardware to be particularly helpful because Mautto’s website has a lot of different hardware and I appreciated her narrowing down the options for me. After going back and forth with her for about a week and a half, I ended up placing an order for 3 cotton canvas webbing straps (This is the first time I’ve placed an order with Mautto). My order was delivered today and I’ll post a few photos to show you what the straps and hardware look like.
