plusssssssssssssss my husband and i have savings accounts for both our kids ... each month something from my paycheck and his goes into it ....

Plusssssss we have investments towards our future, the kids, retirement ..... etc.

Well, you ARE on the right track... But you want FIVE purses! That's a lot.

To me, the Chanel and the Stam are very similar--both quilted purses. You don't need two quilted purses--pick one. Plus they both have chains as handles/straps--too similar. You don't want to look like a walking pin-cushin with a strap. So pick out one between those two.

I think the Gaucho is just a trendy phase that will pass quickly. Do you really want to look like you just got off a horse from 1812? Might get old... And do you really need a weird purple or pinky purse? Especially one that's square and has stuff dangling off of it? I don't think so.

The chocolate Spy is a good neutral and doesn't make those thorny things look so obvious--so I guess that one is ok...

Just trying to reduce your number from 5 to 2. :laugh:

man, i completely missed this thread...

no more bags for me. got a little crazy and my hours got cut at work because of budget issues (end of best buy's fiscal year = no hours for anyone!), which leads to me now carrying a small balance on my credit card, which drives me nutty. so no more bags until i have no more debt + plenty of money in the bank.

Good plan. Get rid of that unnecessary credit card debt, save up some money and THEN THINK/CONTEMPLATE on that next purchase MONTHS from now! :D

EXACTLY. Do you want to look like you're supposed to be wearing smelly, stinky, UGLY, borrowed shoes, i.e. bowling shoes, so you can complete the look of the bag? NO--I didn't think so. Especially since the shoes often don't even match each other!

I meant this thread MAINLY for people who are truly addicted. Where they're buying $1k+ purses more than one a month. Even at the rate of 1/month--that's easily $12k a YEAR. $12k! That's not a small chunk of change unless you're making quite a bit of money... And that's not counting other things we buy as women, i.e. shoes, clothes, makeup, hair, etc., etc.

We kinda get caught up in the hunt and in the present, so I thought I'd inject some humor, entertaininment, and the voice of reason. I don't think it's going to kill you to have purchased that agenda. BUT if you're spending money like that on a VERY regular basis and you're not seeing your savings grow, or you have no savings at all, or your debt just stays the same or grows--then you DEFINITELY have a problem....

Thanks! Just wanted to inject some humor and reason--figured it was the best way to get people to at least "pause" for a second before they added something to the shopping cart.
