I meant this thread MAINLY for people who are truly addicted. Where they're buying $1k+ purses more than one a month. Even at the rate of 1/month--that's easily $12k a YEAR. $12k! That's not a small chunk of change unless you're making quite a bit of money... And that's not counting other things we buy as women, i.e. shoes, clothes, makeup, hair, etc., etc.

Sure does "put it in perspective" - and you are 100% correct; we do get caught up in the moment.

Good advice - good to read your statment out loud in my head...:shame:

any more horrible comments for the novak? the bowling ball comment isn't bad enough for me because i actually enjoy bowling! lol.

Well...since we both know I speak my mind. That is one ugly bag. You own beautiful bags. The statement that bag makes is it isn't for you. You will regret that purchase next year and hope to sell it on Ebay. Print a picture of it and look at it non-stop everyday. You will see what I see:laugh:

It also looks like an alien pod with it's very own alien that's going to pop out. I expect that thing to squirt out alien guts and goo. UGLY.

What a hysterical and needed thread... Okay, confession, I listened to my voice mails on the way home from work today (on the way to Pilates)... I made a quick detour to pick up a Chloe bag... NO MORE CHLOE BAGS IN CHOCOLATE FOR ME (2 in 2 weeks...). See, I have to set a "reachable" goal. Black, whiskey and b-bags are not yet officially "off limits"... I will also increase my contribution to my "retirement account" immediately!

NO MORE CHLOE. You already have TWO. Good idea to increase your contribution to your RA IMMEDIATELY. And no b-bags--those things are just rectangular pieces of leather with dangling strings that need to be sniped off.

SH*T...I have 6 rectangular pieces of leather with dangling strings in my closet... Okay, so I already have caramel from F05...I guess I do not need camel from S06...

DEFINITELY NO MORE BAGS FOR YOU, ESPECIALLY B-BAGS! SIX IS WAY BEYOND YOUR QUOTA. Must go on a break for at least TWO MONTHS.

We kinda get caught up in the hunt and in the present, so I thought I'd inject some humor, entertaininment, and the voice of reason. I don't think it's going to kill you to have purchased that agenda. BUT if you're spending money like that on a VERY regular basis and you're not seeing your savings grow, or you have no savings at all, or your debt just stays the same or grows--then you DEFINITELY have a problem....

Well then I don't have a problem :D I don't have any debt, I don't even use a credit card!! No student loans either :p

Thanks :D

Cut the wedding budget too--put it towards a house. I know it's your "special" day and all. But the reality is that no one really remembers the details of a wedding--EVEN YOU when it's your own. And then you look back on all that money you spent and wonder--why'd I do that?!?! The first day of your married life, i.e. your wedding, should NOT be the most expensive.

Thank you sweet heart for helping your fellow purseaholic take a break. I can't speak for others but after reading your thread and talking to you I've decided to just get one more and stop buying purses for a while. Hopefully i can hold off till Fall since i've seen most of the Spring Summer stuff anyways and i'm not a fan of light colored bags except for white.
Love you lots Wickedassin. Thanks again!

i read that thread too and im' trying to stop but i need help :sad2:.......i think i'm okay until i see bags other have purchased on the forum and then i'm on the hunt again, searching through bags like crazy to find my next purchase.....i'm a student and i find myself skipping meals/necessities to fund my habit i think i have a problem ........my obsessions seem to cycle.....shoes....clothes....bags...jewelry....it's a vicious cycle

congrats moe on ur decision.......i totally support u :D
