I just purchased my Neverfull GM damier ebene directly from LV in Vegas last weekend. Luckily I'm local...Unfortunately I feel like it's not made as neatly as it should be so I called LV support. Will be exchanging this evening. No cloth tag inside but does have date codes on both bag / pochette although they dont match each other but no biggy. When I spoke with the associate she said micro chips are in the new bags but only used for their internal service such as if needs repairs, etc and not used for tracking customers so that's good... I'm debating on trying a universal micro chip reader to see what happens. Might be interesting!

Just wondering.. If we can’t see the micro chip, how do we know if it’s there ? What if they made mistake and never put it ? Worry it will cause issues later on when we need for repair or something. But maybe it’s just my thoughts.. :confused1:

You can ask them to check it for you. And you also can see it with any modern phone, but then only the presence of the chip, not the product info itself.

Today, I received the Empreinte Multi Pochette in Noir and there’s no date code. However, my CA sent me a pic of the same bag in Cream and it has a date code. He has two Cream Multi Pochettes and only one has a date code. My CA told me not to worry about not seeing a date code and this is the new normal. I’ve recently received other items that have date codes.View attachment 5045988View attachment 5045989
I purchased the empreinte bumbag in black today at LV and it doesn’t have a date code either.

foxylv Nfc chip

1. This is what shows up when items are scanned using the employee phones.
2. There is no app on the market that can scan lv item and bring up this info. Besides the one lv gives the employees
3. If you scan an item and it instantly pulls up the LV website im sorry to say that fake..
4. You can not go into the store and ask employees to scan bags to prove authenticity. They will only do so if you are returning the item.
5. After march 31st all items will no longer have a physical date code. It is in that chip.

I ordered the blue by the pool pochette (returned it, didn't like the color) and the larger pochette appeared to have the chip because it had nothing else inside, and the smaller pochette still had the leather date code. If people sell off different parts of their sets it might be problematic, maybe. So long as my name and purchase info. never appears on any scan I'm fine with a chip in the bag.
