Yoogi's Closet is based in Seattle. They will charge you 9.5% sales tax no matter where you are. A lot of ebay sellers are not going to sell you a B or K below retail unless the condition is not like new i.e. color loss on handles and scuffs at corners. There is no way unless you head to FSH that there may be a chance for a walk-in customer to score a B or K, just because it is catered for tourists. You probably read the other thread about the experience of many TPFers in the mothership store. Good luck !! If you want to move to the H family, get used to the games that H play. It is the way it is and is also their strategy to keep the demand high and hold up the prices. Otherise, they will be another LV or
Prada. Would you want your investment to have a high depreciation like a car or would you prefer to be patient and get the holy grail bag that will hold its value for a very long time ? Your call.
I personally don't mind going to resellers for used and brand new H items since I don't have to wait and I get the choice of the colors. People complain about the markup from the resellers but if you think of all the other items you've to purchase to build a relationship, it is worth saving the time and go the resellers' route. Don't forget that after spending a few $K, you've just increased your chances of being offered the bag but there is no guarantee. Some SAs will continue to lead you on and get you to buy more. Only they know where you're in the queue of their customers. He/She may have 5-6 customers that are in the process of building the relationship that are ahead of you. With the limited amount of B & Ks available each quarter, think of your chance to ever score one.
With all the reveals that I've seen here, many of the new customers to H have thrown in quite a few bucks before they ever score one. You mentioned that you want a 25cm B. Most stores order only 30 or 35 so 25 has to be special order at the podium by the SM.
