This has always been the practice where I live, they NEVER offer Birkins nor Kellys to walk in clients ...I have already given up hope of ever owning a Kelly nor Birkin, that is why I am so grateful to all of you TPF ladies in this forum in quenching my "Hermes thirst" by showing all your beautiful Kellys and Birkins, lindys, etc. ...all of you have not idea how happy that makes me just looking at all the beautiful bags in this forum...I know I will never be lucky enough to own one but just looking at them I am already very content...thank you thank you
:worthy:
I want a birkin in the future after I have an established life. I never bought anything from H so does that mean it's impossible for me to get one even for a waiting list? Then how do new customers ever obtain a birkin?! Is a brand new buyer able to go on a waiting list for a birkin if they want one? I will be very sad if I can't ever own a birkin because I am a new customer.

Didn't you already ask the same question in a new thread and got some responses already, and your other thread has been closed.
You keep buying other stuff to establish a relationship and then you get a bag.
The mod asked me to post in an existing thread you know and that is exactly what I did! Thanks for your response though.
Why even worry about this now? When you are ready to buy the bag you want, go into the store and find out how. Policies change. There is no way to know what Hermes will be doing next week, much less in a while from now.
I do plan on getting two twillys and a bracelet as that's what I do want. I was wondering if that's good enough.
probably not. they prefer you spend on rtw, fine jewelry, and housewares and also just spend more $$$. if you are looking to get one in the next year, start establishing the relationship now and maybe in a year you will get offered a bag.I do plan on getting two twillys and a bracelet as that's what I do want. I'm not telling you not to post. I'm telling you not to worry about Hermes policies for buying a bag until you are actually ready to buy one. If you've read the other threads as I recommended, you will know that it can depend on which store you work with. Some are easier to get a walk-in bag than others. If you want to know how much a store bought Birkin goes for, please consult the pricing thread. Prices depend on skin/size:

If you are near a store that requires you to establish a purchase history, people here have reported that you often have to spend as much as $10,000+ on other things, mainly ready to wear clothing and jewellery. Again, it may differ depending on the store closest to you and their policies.
