I just got a birkin 35 today. I have to post enough to do a reveal. It is beautiful blue. Was told this is a new color. I did not buy much from the store, I do really like their scarfs and really enjoy them. Hope this helps...

Lucky! Me, not so much. Our SA told us we have to have an "established history" with one SA to be offered a birkin, but even then we would still be in line, with the "more established" clients at the beginning of the line, and we would have to be local (good thing I live down the street from our local H). That was more information we got than another couple who asked and was immediately responded to with, "No! We don't offer birkins to JUST ANYONE!" I was shocked the SA even said that. At least we got the nicer SA.

I think it just depends on the store and the SA/SM you happen to interact with. The first visit I made to a particular store, when I knew very little about the brand or the variety of bags,I was offered a kelly by a SM. She spent a good bit of time talking to me about the bags and brand too. I was just looking around trying on things to see how they looked on me and she was like, "I have a Kelly in the back." I wasn't even into the Kelly then (I later became a Kelly girl) :). I subsequently bought SLGs and scarves from her and have never asked her about a birkin and to this day she goes out of her way to service me. She's a gem.

Sorry for the wait. Got too many deadlines to catch/miss. Do not have the receipt with me, but vaguely remember the color is Bleu Obsecu or sth similar and it has PHW. It is a dark shade of blue and I have not seen before or found in the reference library.

I have to give the SA a lot of credit since I replied to her questions with a range of common colors, black, red or gold with GHW. Actually no blue since I do not think current blue shades fit me well. The combination of dark blue with PHW is orders of magnitude better than what I can ever ask for. I am impressed by how well she guessed by looking at my outfit and accessories.

The initial plan was to study the bag and figure out what I like so to make an informed decision. Since this B35 is so nice and made me happy like a little girl, now DH is thinking to finance the second one or a kelly. A big & pleasant surplus !!

Now I only have 4 to go. I took the picture, but do not know how to post a picture. Can anyone help ?

Did not mean to mislead you. I do work and earn about the same as DH (only a little bit less). We are not rich, but live a comfortable normal life. I only do this type of shopping knowing we have set enough on the side and can pay it off on the spot. I am sure many have already discussed this. Do not let the bag get you into financial trouble. It is just nice when he suggested I should start thinking what I want for another B or K considering it is a $10K bag.

Now, I have 3 to go...
