New packaging

Yes given how tacky we’ve seen them send some packages back to clients I agree this home service kit seems more safe/secure and proper. I wish it was standard practice that all boutiques offer the kit and send it to you first when they know you need to send something in for servicing, but we all know they’re trying to cut costs and increase selling price :hrmm: Very disappointing how the service is really lacking in many aspects as the brand grows.
Ahh yeah that's true. I'm actually quite surprised that the home service kit isn't more well informed & explained. Even my SA didn't bring it up until I asked, not sure if they purposely omit that information or just because they're so distant from the e-boutique operations that they don't even know in-store purchases can also be sent out for service & tracked via the website

With VCA being so stingy with the hard box I definitely don't want to send my pieces out with it because I know I won't get the box back LOL! I don't even think they'd give me back the same travel pouch if I included it in the package. I guess we'll see what packaging my bracelet will come back in.

The link below has more detail related to the home service kit! There's also a video on that page so you can see what the box looks like - they have different sizes for the creations. It's actually really secured and cleverly designed.

Essentially if you already have a profile on the website, once you logged in you can click on the 'My Services" and on the next page click on "request a service". You then just have to fill out the form and within a day an e-boutique rep will reach out via email to follow up with the update and confirming the home service kit is on the way. Since there's no valuable in the home service kit package, it doesn't require signature from FedEx. The home service kit includes the box, a copy of the service request form and the overnight shipping label. Once they received the item in the workshop, you can track the status and estimate ship date on the website. I happened to just mailed out my 6 motif for adjustment recently so hopefully the screenshot helps :hbeat: I shall report back on the packaging once they ship out my bracelet from the adjustment for kicks and giggles.

Thank you so much for explaining this! I never knew. I have always gone through my SA who sends a label and leaves the rest up to me. I will definitely try this next time.

Wanted to provide another data point...I recently (about a week ago now) purchased the WG 5 motif guilloche bracelet from the e-boutique and it was shipped with the green hard box; I called their corporate number and asked for a travel pouch and they shipped one to me, which I received about 2 days later.

Also, I went to the SF boutique to have the bracelet resized and casually asked to have my WG vintage alhambra pendant cleaned and the SA came back with it sparkling clean and travel pouch!

Just a quick update on my resizing request through the home service from e-boutique. It only took 4 days for them to complete it & it already showed up at my front porch this morning :amazed:

My bracelet arrived in the eco friendly box and the bracelet is stored in I believe a travel case for watches & bangles? Please feel free to confirm or correct me if I’m wrong though. Overall, really happy with the quick turnaround & the packaging. Mind I say, I actually prefer this travel case for the bracelets instead of the flat pouch, and it can technically fit two 5 motifs on the pillow.

It's lovely that they used a watch travel pouch for a bracelet! It definitely seems more secure than a flat pouch. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much! I love it! I would still send it in the box if I had it to do again, since I just wanted to make sure the bracelet was well-protected on its journey, otherwise no big deal, it just really surprised me.
I always send mine in from home since I don’t live near a boutique. They always tell me to make sure not to send anything that I want back (besides the jewelry piece) because you won’t get it back. I roll mine in the tiny bubble wrap, then put it in a zip lock bag. Then put that in an envelope, and put that in the box with stuffing/air paper. I know you mentioned that you don’t mind, but just wanted to put the info out there incase someone else sees this, and doesn’t know.

I wonder if this depends on the boutique as well because I’ve always shipped mine (for adjustments in the US) either in a small jewelry cardboard box with bubble wrap (as per @BigAkoya ’s advice a few years back) or in the travel pouch and luckily always received my travel pouch back. This was prior to all the pouch shortages and before they changed their big velvet hard boxes to newer travel pouches only, so perhaps they’ve updated their policies..

Personally I don’t think it should be difficult for boutiques to keep track of what customers send in and store them correctly in an organized manner but perhaps they don’t have the system in place and it depends on how tidy and organized your SA is in looking after your things when it comes in.

This is so much more presentable than what other members have received here. I’m glad you got yours back with quick turnaround time and their nice packaging too!

Hi! Yes, I just ship the piece, never any pouch or the original box. I always get my piece returned in a new travel pouch, which I keep of course!

Yes, I admit it... I'm a travel pouch hoarder! I have so many pouches, but the funny thing is, when I travel, I use the same old pouches over and over again. I rarely toss the old one and use a new one. I don't want to get the new ones wrinkled! I like just looking at them stacked in my drawer.:heart:

I send the companies only the jewelry piece(s), nothing else. Every company has sent me back my piece(s) in travel pouches.

As FYI to share in case anyone is interested...
Here is the jewelry mailer box I use for sending in all jewelry pieces (VCA and other brands). I've been using these boxes for years... works great. Hope this was helpful!

I just purchased a Sweet Alhambra in rose gold from the Forum Shops boutique in Las Vegas. Had a conversation with my SA about the packaging and she said their store never received the new packaging, so they are still using the old. Apparently they get lots of requests for boxes. I asked for a travel pouch since I really do use those, but they were out of the small ones. It sounds from this thread like I might be able to call client services and request one, though?

Yes, or send them an email through the website. I’ve gotten 2 travel pouches this way :)

I just received my five motif brace from the e-boutique and the bracelet came in a hard box. I assume this came from a store maybe? It was in the new green box (instead of the grey). The bracelet box was not wrapped and no green tag was attached to the bracelet.
