Sharing the packaging that my online order of sweet alhambra pave earrings just came in. I actually like this box much better than the grey velvet. I always felt the velvet box was too heavy and the top cover too flimsy and prone to tearing at the corners if you weren't super careful opening and closing the box. The velvet also picks up every smudge and fingerprint and I hated dealing with the shredded paper filler. This box is perhaps not as luxe at first glance but the inside design is genius with a large ribbon securing the box to the bottom and then the certificate, receipt, etc. inside their own box on an upper "shelf". Much less wasteful in materials.
Same velvet case, box, paper and ribbon for the earrings. No travel pouch but that's fine for me as I have extras from when the SA's were more generous with them.

That actually looks pretty nice! I think most of us can live without that heavy grey velvet box, it's the lack of the green box that actually hold the jewelry being replaced by just a travel pouch that I have problem with 
Congratulations!! I love my sweet pave. I hope you will love yours. I’m so glad you got the proper earring box. I don’t care as much about the large velvet box as there smaller earring box. I hope they keep using this earring box.
What! That’s absolutely insane and seems to be earning trend with some of these designers. One of the great aspects of buying these expensive pieces are the beautiful boxes and packaging they come in… I would definitely contact customer service because this is not acceptable.
Received the new packaging for a sweet alhambra necklace bought in-store at the Rue Robert Céard boutique in Geneva. The necklace came in a travel purse within a white box with a plain ribbon, no velvet case and no care booklet.
This just looks cheap and is absolutely disappointing given that travel pouches have always been given free with past purchases.

I got a vintage Alhambra necklace at NY boutique today and receive the same new packaging as chalcedonyx posted above

When I next buy something I will ask before paying for the box. I don’t want this tiny packaging.
I know buying online isn’t as exciting as purchasing in the boutique but if it means getting the original packaging, I’m choosing to go with the e-boutique.
I just purchased from the e-boutique (sweet earrings) and received the same packaging as above. I like the new box (the huge velvet box was a bit extra) and I am pleased that I received the velvet earring box (no travel pouch tho).
I've purchased twice from the e-boutique now (both times in January 2023).
I got a travel pouch included with my second purchase (but not my first). I did follow up on this via chat and was told they "are facing a worldwide shortage of travel pouches" but they would keep monitoring to see if they could source another travel pouch for my first order.
They also kindly included Lunar New Year Red envelopes which was really sweet.
The only thing that made me laugh was that I received a square travel pouch and I bought a 5 motif bracelet... nonetheless, I still appreciate getting a travel pouch (even if it's not appropriate to the creation I purchased)
I love my SA but if I want to buy anything and I can get it online, I'll think I'll just go through the e-boutique. The new box will be great for storing all my paperwork etc...
Yes, it is a pouch in a box which I declined. I asked my SA to give me the 'old/original packaging' which is the green envelope type box and the travel pouch. Tbh, I wanted to take the new packaging too.....the new pouch is actually thicker and has snap closures in the back compared to the old/original travel pouch.
