I bought an Alhambra bracelet and pendant in early Jan, bracelet was resized so both shipped to my house. They both came with green jewelry boxes but no pouch. I inquired with the SA but she said they are “not making them anymore”? Makes no sense when some of you are getting the pouch and no box!

I also didn’t receive a travel pouch when I received my order, so I called customer service last night and requested one. They are overnighting it and it should be here tomorrow. Maybe it depends on location? I don’t work with an SA, I just order online since I don’t have a VCA where I live.

Someone mentioned in another post of this thread that they don't automatically include the travel pouch in the shipment to avoid customers returning the product while keeping the travel pouch. Customers will have to call in to request for the pouch, which is sort of a confirmation that they don't plan on returning. I've never thought people would do such thing (unless they're resellers) but I guess that's why we can't have nice things, plus VCA is being stingy with the packaging.

That’s sad people do that. I can’t imagine returning something, and not including everything it originally came with. Always the few that have to ruin it for everyone else I guess.

oh no!! That travel pouch packaging looks horrifying! I've been planning to purchase 2 bracelets this year and the boutique in my city is mentioned in this thread as using new packaging  I want to work with my SA, but I might order online or wait and hope VCA revert their decision.

So sad VCA is pushing their clients to shop from e-boutique just for the packaging. I think for gold and diamond pieces are okay, but with gemstones the in-store experience is much better because you get to pick out the hue/pattern that suit your taste the most.

I went to pick up my Vintage RG Hammered Alhambra pendant from the boutique last weekend after being extended.

I was pleasantly surprised that the manager provided me with the full shebang of a new velvet box, and a cleaning cloth, unprompted. I was half-expecting it to be returned in just a travel pouch, after the extension, but this was an added bonus. He said, I know you’ve been looking forward to getting your necklace back, so let’s make it a lovely unboxing experience haha.

I didn’t want to ask for another travel pouch, given that I was already provided one at the point of purchase.

We were talking about packaging afterwards, and he’s expecting the new packaging to be introduced to the UK probably from next month onwards, and is already bracing himself for an onslaught of customer complaints.

I guess that if I do get another piece from VCA this year, I’ll have this additional proper box to put it in, if I get saddled with the new packaging!

I will call customer service and ask for travel pouches. I asked the SA via text message and she said they don’t provide them anymore. Thanks
