Unreal...the fact they're essentially making the velvet box sounds like some ultimate prize, and then making their clients to queue up for a travel pouch

Plus, it's another way to discourage returns. Sneaky snakes.

The item I wanted was not available in store so I did an online order. When VCA called to verify the order I was told they are in the process of manufacturing the new packaging and that the velvet packaging is determined by the item you order since there are limited supply of the velvet box we cannot request it to be packaged in that. Agent as mentioned that travel pouch are not automatically included anymore to avoid having people return items and keeping the travel pouch. Process is when you receive the online order if you are going to keep it contact them to request the travel pouch, they will send out if they have supply if not keep checking in by calling them. Did not expect this much cut back and hassle from a luxury brand.

Makes sense as far as the pouch and returns - I had to request a pouch more than once since 2020 with my phone/online orders.

I ordered the vintage pendant necklace as a gift. I am located in Alberta, Canada we don’t have a VCA boutique here. I been ordering my items through my SA at Birks but their inventory is really limited.

I placed an online order and received my items in the boxes but no travel pouches. I called the customer service and they are sending me the travel pouches but she said they have a low supply of the pouches which is why they weren’t sending them out. Found this interesting.

I still can’t get over the enormous green box my small zodiac and chain came in. I am a minimalist and can stand clutter. The box is beautiful but I don’t know what to do with it. I usually discard most packaging but it’s too nice to throw away.

I just saw an unboxing video on YouTube where the new online packaging is shown.



Say goodbye to all that shredded paper! The creation is tied to the inner box which stops it from moving around whilst it’s in transit (and the old velvet box is still provided… for now)
