I was told I couldn’t even reserve two bags. I told one SA at a boutique I was 3rd on the reserve list at a department store boutique so my reserve would probably come in December, but still it was a no. My friend ran into the same issue, but was allowed to reserve under her daughter‘s profile/credit card.

No. I ran into the same issue last month. I bought a bag with silver hardware but a week later saw one in gold which was my actual preference at a different store. I hadn’t used the bag. I explained to the new boutique that I wanted to return the other bag with SHW and purchase the one with GHW. I was allowed to purchase the new bag remotely, promising to return the other bag the next day. She said the system would show one cancelled At the end of the month.

I think this varies by store. Saks recently allowed me to reserve two bags for 22c however they made it clear that if both bags come in on the same month I would have to choose one so crossing fingers.

In this case (one bag and one slg a month) can I buy with my name and husband's name? I didn't change my last name so we could pretend like not family. Also probably can't use same credit card?

I think someone said in this thread earlier that the addresses can’t match. Unless you and your husband live apart I don’t think that will work either lol

OMG. NM SA just texted me to say she had the Rose Gold Trendy but I am over the limit. I told her I was asking for the WOC so that should count as SLG. She told me I can't buy until next year. (Which I mean it's Nov already) but still UGH. She also told me they are very serious. About 2000 accounts have been shut down already, some were very good clients. I told her Chanel has lost their damn minds.

Why can’t you buy in December? Do you think the limit per year or per month?

This whole thing makes me so sad. I know I’m not the only one. I’ve been buying at least 1-2 classic flaps every single season since 2014. If Chanel cared to look at my account they can see that I am not a reseller but a genuine lover of the fashion house. It’s like I’m being punished for being a loyal client. I was just told that I am ineligible to purchase anything until January. I wish they had implemented this new rule in January because while we were all buying at the beginning of this year we could have planned out our purchases better had we known that there would be limits. It just seems really unfair to throw this on us with no warning. All this will do is strengthen the position of places like resale sites and resellers because we will have no choice but to pay their ridiculous prices if we want a bag that Chanel has forbidden us to buy. And I’m sure people will do it which just continues the cycle.
