New Chanel Purchase Limit Policy

I’m actually surprised there’s not a list of hybrid boutiques floating around. Did I miss it? Does anyone know if the NM in Houston boutique is a leased or hybrid? I’m guessing leased because they print both a nm and Chanel receipt?
That store is part of Chanel. Your purchase history can be seen throughout the system which would include a stand alone Chanel boutique. Your getting two receipts. Leased boutique.

I knew about the 2000 accounts being closed, but those are all for suspected resellers. Exceptions CAN be made, but more likely that you are a VIC/ VVIC. When you are at limit, a popup window comes up disallowing the SA to process and order. A SD or SM can override. Exceptions are a pretty formal process now & go up the chain, but I believe it's status-based (most SD's know who the VIC/ VVIC are for their boutiques). Lots of headaches, for sure. We are far far away from luxury...
Do you know of if your on multiple lists for the same item different Sa and locations are you being blocked? Especially if you haven't purchased any slgs or handbags within the year?
Interesting to know what VIP limits are.

I don't know about multiple lists for the same item cuz whatever I want from the collections I've just pre-reserved in the boutique buy many months ago so it's guaranteed? ALTHOUGH now you can only pre-reserve over 8k for bags & 2k for SLG, and most SA can pre-reserve 3 non-8k items (as in 1 each for 3 clients). It's VIC/ VVIC -- (Elite, Elite plus, PVIC, VIC, VVIC). And you'd have to speak with the store director of your main boutique if you have questions?

Thank you @TraceySH for answering my questions. But like many fonts have asked repeatedly throughout these threads are how some of you'll are able to pre-reseve months in advance when a lot of boutiques cannot see that product in their system that far in advance. Believe me I have walked in with pictures and when the Sa does a search the product is not found. Are you saying to go over the Sa head and go through the store director to place reserves for advance future collections ?

No not at all!! So if you are a VIC/ VVIC your SA will AUTOMATICALLY as you to be a part of the boutique buy! So the boutiques bring in their VIC to pre-order right after the shows (maybe within a few days). The boutique orders for all their VIC & then orders "extra" stock of things (very little RTW tho, most is all allocated when it arrives to the store). Sometimes Chanel will allocate more stock to them but this is why the stock in every boutique is vastly different. .. And I was talking about if you wanted an exception to the limits then you can ask your regular SA to connect you with the SD and see what they will do. Any exceptions for limits (for VIC etc) must pass through the whole vertical chain to be approved....and even then they are slim....

Leased connects to Chanel system. Hybrid doesn't, therefore no limits.

Are you sure there aren’t the same limits at the hybrid stores? My SA from a hybrid store told me the same limits as a leased store. My understanding is the hybrid stores are linked to the Chanel system but the SA’s are employed by the department store.

The systems are not linked. YET. The will be at some point, but not yet. However, some hybrid stores have chosen to mimic Chanel corp rules...

Hi ladies, has anyone heard or been told by SA that their store isn’t taking any reserve on slgs anymore? Only bags and rtw? And even so it’ll be not guaranteed more of a wishlist because of too much demand and leaks online? I was so shocked as i have 22p and 22s lined up and actually skipped this season for those seasons.

I wasn't told this but only the limits. Customer service never mentioned this policy to me.

I have heard this from two boutiques, during the reserves for the current collection, 22c.

I think it depends on the store. My local boutique just stopped taking reservations. However, I was able to reserve a 22c bag with my NM SA.

Mine was a stand alone boutique and my SA mentioned resellers made them stopped doing reservations and tightens the policy. I said regular clients like me are the one suffering. Unfortunately it has been decided but for my reserves I believe from 22p n 22s might still be fine. But moving forward no more and just a “wishlist” which is as good as nothing :(

I was able to reserve an slg in 22C so not sure if the boutique will stop doing that in future collections.

I hope not… i feel its not just slg’s but also handbags soon :( reserve was already scary enough… wishlist sounds something for a new customer they are not that interested to work with. But have been with this great SA for almost 2 1/2 almost 3yrs now

I purchased a bag from Saks NYC beginning of the month and was told by my SA that I won’t be able to buy another one until next month. But I was able to order one from NM Austin (with the help of a very nice member of this forum). The NM SA told me that they are a hybrid location so it didn’t matter.
