New Chanel Purchase Limit Policy

Hi - not sure if this has been confirmed it will happen but I heard that there is possibility that classic flaps will move to one/year policy next year. Not sure if it only applies to REV (black and beige) or if it’s inclusive of all classic flaps….which includes seasonal colors. Hopefully just the former.
Hopefully not. This makes no sense unless they start releasing the same colors every year like Hermes does or unless they tell us at the beginning of each year what colors will be released so ppl can decide their color of the year

I bought 1 bag and 1 SLG in Nov. I was told if the other item I put on reserve arrives in Nov, I can have my "husband" or "cousin" purchase it but I cannot. So sounds like there are some workarounds. I am not a VIP. So far this year I bought 1 bag and 10 SLGs.
I am glad I bought the 10 SLGs I wanted before they announced the new limits because I don't want to pay reseller premium prices.
With all the price increases and already having plenty of classic flaps, I am not interested in bags as much as SLGs.

I have met my limit for the month a few times when my reserve came in. However, because I was on a waitlist and to ‘preserve the integrity of the waitlist and to be fair for all’ as my boutique had put it, I wasn’t allowed to have anyone purchase for me. Instead, they moved me to the bottom of the list. This has happened already 2 times. :/ The two boutiques I frequent are so strict with rules I guess. But, in the process, I have found a few hybrid boutiques which have different rules and minimums so allow me to buy one additional assuming they have the item. However the tricky part is about timing and whether the boutique has the item you want to purchase, so even if you want to buy, they may not have it. Also your purchases at hybrid locations are viewable by all.

WOW, I would be traumatized if I was moved to the bottom of the reserve list. How can one find out if a boutique is hybrid?
Thank you

Question: if you return a bag (didn’t like it in person, defective, etc) does it still count as a purchase towards the monthly limit or does it reset and you can buy again that month?

My NM SA just told me that their boutique’s policy now is:
1. 3 bags a month (1 classic,2 fashion/seasonal)
2. no limits on slg’s except no more than 2 of the same item.

This might be boutique-specific so I can’t speak for all other boutiques.

So it’s a better policy than Saks. I was in a Saks Beverly Hills Chanel boutique the other day and wanted to buy 2 different slgs, but was told no by the SA. She said I was only allowed to buy 1 slg and 1 bag per month, so I had to choose 1 and leave the other behind. Kinda sad about that :(

I have encountered the same rule (1 bag/1 SLG) numerous times the last two months including this week at stand-alones and a NM in the LA/OC areas.

Is it a new, updated policy/limit or was it always that way?
For a short while when the "1 bag 1 month" policy first started, the boutique implemented the same as other boutiques. I don't know what had happened and my SA today just told me about the "new" policy they have now. He said he heard different things at different boutiques, but this is how they operate now.

It’s suppose to reset. I bought a bag in October with silver hardware but then saw it with gold within 14 days. I was able to return one and purchase the other. What I am scared of is if there is some kind of mixup, and and they don’t reset it. I would then show them receipts of the return.
