New Chanel Purchase Limit Policy

Interesting to know what VIP limits are.

I just read somewhere on TPF that it’s minimum $10k+ each in leather goods, RTW, and fine jewelry annually for VIP status.

Hi ladies, has anyone heard or been told by SA that their store isn’t taking any reserve on slgs anymore? Only bags and rtw? And even so it’ll be not guaranteed more of a wishlist because of too much demand and leaks online? I was so shocked as i have 22p and 22s lined up and actually skipped this season for those seasons.

my SA told me her store (saks) will stop taking reservation for classic bags, but will take reservation for seasonal bags (including CFs in seasonal colors). This seems to vary by boutique.

I purchased a bag from Saks NYC beginning of the month and was told by my SA that I won’t be able to buy another one until next month. But I was able to order one from NM Austin (with the help of a very nice member of this forum). The NM SA told me that they are a hybrid location so it didn’t matter.

I think is month by month, because I bought a 2.55 on last day of Oct. and I bought Mini Square on beginning of Nov, but SA did ask me if I made any purchase on Nov. before I check out.

I asked them yesterday: one bag within 60 days (rule for Switzerland). They didn't change it in the meantime.

Definitely seems different in different places. I have been told by more than one SA that in the UK it is 1 bag and 1 slg each 60 days.

I was told the same when I bought my mini hat box vanity, that I wouldn’t be able to buy another SLG until next month. I had asked because there was a WOC that I really wanted… but the SA said I’d have to wait. She was really sweet about it though and said she would try to get me one next month if they didn’t sell out by then. However, I was able to purchase the WOC yesterday from another SA at a hybrid location because they’re not linked to the Chanel system. So that’s 2 SLGs in one month that I was able to get due to this loophole.

If hybrids are not connected to the Chanel system, I am assuming they cannot see your Chanel purchase history and any purchases made there are not seen/entered on the Chanel system. Can someone please confirm? If you make a purchase at a hybrid NM location, will other Chanel boutiques or other NM stores be able to see it? Thanks for the clarification.

As far as I know, Chanel boutiques can see all your purchases (including hybrid) but hybrid may not see all your Chanel purchases from non-hybrid locations (don’t quote me…just my experience).

Thanks. I ran into my first hybrid location and bought an SLG while waiting for reserves, since it is near the end of the month and I am still waiting. I was wondering if my regular, non-hybrid boutiques would see that transaction and count it.

Hi - not sure if this has been confirmed it will happen but I heard that there is possibility that classic flaps will move to one/year policy next year. Not sure if it only applies to REV (black and beige) or if it’s inclusive of all classic flaps….which includes seasonal colors. Hopefully just the former.
